“This is the second time I come here for breakfast.”
This is the second time I come here for breakfast. Their food is out of this world. The servers are sweet and helpful. The fried pork belly was cooked to perfection; juicy and crunchy at the same time. The Longganisa has great flavor. We finished our meal by splitting the Ube French Toast. This is going to be one of my staple restaurants for Filipino food.

“I got the iced banana latte which was delicious and balanced.”
I got the iced banana latte which was delicious and balanced! I also got the Breakfast Lechon Kawali which was a bit pricey at $24, but good. My friend got the longanisa and buttercream ube toast. Staff was super friendly and we got seated right away on Sunday for lunch. It’s super cute and open inside.

“I grew up eating Filipino food, and I must say I LOVED this place.”
I grew up eating Filipino food, and I must say I LOVED this place. Best chicken adobo I’ve ever had honestly, great flavor, tender chicken, and perfect sauce to meat and rice ratio. Great vibes in here for brunch/lunch, got a table right away. I found free street parking a couple blocks away, but there is paid street parking outside as well. Ube Pan de Sol buns are amazing as well!!! Will be returning.

“Was visiting from nyc and came here for brunch.”
Was visiting from nyc and came here for brunch. This is the best chicken & waffles I’ve ever had - literally still think about it a month later. Chicken was perfectly crispy, ube flavor, syrup, and sauce were delicious. Also had the breakfast chicken inasal. Want to come back and try more!

“Longganisa fries yum.”
Longganisa fries yum. Mussels also yum - we particularly enjoyed the tomato sauce dip. Crab pancit was a bit mid. Highlight was the cebu lechon!

“We had a delicious meal at Cebu in Chicago.”
We had a delicious meal at Cebu in Chicago. This modern Filipino restaurant masterfully delivers on the promise of its culinary heritage, offering a delightful experience from breakfast through dinner. The open layout is a breath of fresh air, with ample space between tables, ensuring a comfortable and uncrowded dining experience. Drinks came with an unexpected detail: the orchid flower frozen inside the ice is a beautiful, surprising touch. For the appetizers, the "tuna kinilao" (ceviche) wins my heart; no strong citrus flavor here, Sashimi-grade tuna chunks are delicately marinated to allow the tuna flavor to shine along the bed of sherry tomatoes, cucumber, and onion salad, served over coconut cream; it's hard not to ask for seconds. Don't overlook the Sizzling Gambas the description does not do them justice, they are a colorful spectacle & the sauce has a delightful sweet and sour flavor. You will be tempted to lick your fingers. The entrée menu features Filipino staples, but with an elevated twist. The "Rib-eye Salpicao" is a standout, boasting a rich, strong-flavored sauce that pairs perfectly with the creamy bed of mashed potatoes. Seafood lovers will appreciate the grilled "Adobo Glaze Salmon," which comes with Brussels sprouts and a secret glaze that truly elevates the dish. And then there are the desserts, which are an adventure in themselves. The Banana Pudding is a deconstructed masterpiece. Served in a snifter glass, each component is cooked separately, allowing you to create a unique flavor explosion with every spoonful. But the real showstopper is the Halo-Halo. It's big enough to share, but honestly, you won't want to.

“Had their Ube latte, Ube pandesal, lumpia and Short Ribs Tapsilog.”
Had their Ube latte, Ube pandesal, lumpia and Short Ribs Tapsilog. All were amazing and highly recommend. Didn’t take a pic of the short ribs tapsilog cause it looked really good and was hungry. So just ate right away, Ube latte needed and got a second to go.

“First time trying Filipino food and I’m officially obsessed.”
First time trying Filipino food and I’m officially obsessed. Cebu is a beautiful family-owned restaurant in Chicago run by four siblings from Cebu, Philippines, and you can truly feel the love and heritage in everything they serve. The space is inviting, the staff was kind and knowledgeable, and the entire experience felt like being welcomed into someone’s home for dinner. I started with one of their unique Filipino-inspired cocktails -the ube painkiller and WOW. Creamy, dreamy, tropical, and totally unforgettable. For food, I ordered: • Filipino-style Chicken BBQ – tender, flavorful, and perfectly marinated. • Sizzling Gambas – juicy shrimp in a rich seafood sauce, served still sizzling (yes, heads were turning). • Crab Pancit – absolutely packed with crab meat If you’ve never had Filipino food before, this is where you start. Can’t wait to come back and try even more!
