“Excellent food! Even though I’m not Filipino, I can tell it’s very authentic. Service is great. JT really gave me a good introduction on their menu and filipino cuisines in general! Will definitely come back!”

“I wish I could have tried more dishes, this place absolutely blew me away! Delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the Batchoy and Crispy Pata. Highly recommend. I will be back!”

“wow wow wow i love this place so much! there's a growing amount of filipino restaurants in the north side and i can honestly say this one is my favorite!! specifically their veggie pancit and lumpia are both must try dishes. everything else i have ordered here is really great in the way that it tastes authentic and like your lola or lolo made it themselves. their sinigang has the perfect sourness and the la paz batchoy is so garlicky and hearty, both perfect for cold days. everything is fresh and made to order and it can take time for the food to come out, but i would rather wait for amazing food than have them pump out mediocre food. that said, i would consider going here at random times and/or weekdays. both times i have gone were before the rush, so i didn't have to wait as long as some of the reviews say. regardless, staff is attentive and well versed in the menu.”

“We came here right after our little sister’s bootcamp graduation and we give this place a 10/10!! We didn’t know many restaurants in the area and just came across this one on Google, and I’m so glad we did. One of the best Filipino restaurants I’ve had in a long time! If they’re Ilocano, you already know the food is gonna be fire 🔥 It was so good that my family and I even ordered takeout for dinner after already having lunch 😂 The chef’s son was a great host—so warm and welcoming. Honestly felt like we were back in the Philippines with how accommodating and homey everything was. My parents are SOOO picky with food especially since Filipino dishes can sometimes be greasy, but even their crispy pata wasn’t as greasy as they usually are. My parents loved every single dish we ordered. The food here is so well thought out and clearly made with love. Will definitely will be back again if we ever visit Chicago!”

“Under new management, the owner and chef, more than warrants your attention. You owe it to your palate to reward it with delightful dishes that feed not just the body but also the soul. They cure tocino in house using a family recipe that goes back decades. You can be sure that the meat are cooked to perfection. Crispy and cruchy according to dish parameters. Tender and juicy to the bite. Even the vegetables are prepared at the right temperature so it's not soggy or overcooked which often happens at asian shops. The seasoning is carefully considered, holding the balance between salt and sweet or have ample kick (bicol express) when needed. I haven't had all of the dishes but have sampled many and they are all very enjoyable. Service is quick and staff are very attentive. They said they will be making sausages soon too. I can't wait. You shouldn’t either.”

“Delicious, fresh (I could literally hear them chopping the veggies for my order in the back) and well-seasoned food. I got the combo pancit and the shrimp wasn't overcooked, the pork was tender (not dried out). The place itself is cute and clean looking, good music and super friendly staff”

“It’s really nice to see a Filipino restaurant in the area since there’s not a lot of representation around the world. Staff is helpful and has good recommendations for sure.”

“My noodles and fried egg were so yummy! The service was fantastic as well. If I lived in Chicago I would make this a go-to spot.”

“My friends and I went here for lunch and we had a great experience! JT was super hospitable and gave us a warm welcome/introduction to both the restaurant's history and some insights into Phillipino food/culture. All of the food was hearty and delicious, with decent portions.”
