The Wild Hare & Singing Armadillo Frog Sanctuary

4.41,354 reviews ·Opens at 8 Fri

The Wild Hare’s regulars love its lively reggae-and-Afrobeats energy, cocktails, and wings tossed in sweet-spicy sauce—an easy pick for a birthday stop or dancing with friends. The Fulton Market incarnation is a dark basement in an alley, though, and reviews warn that DJs may play pop or house instead of reggae, live music may be absent, hours can be unreliable, and drinks pricey.

Went here for Valentine's day! The Website advertised live music, tickets $10. Upon arriving was told the charge is $67 for two people due to a live performance. Turns out the DJ playing music was the "live" performance. Ordered a rum punch, it was served in a plastic cup for 21. Then they have security guards serving the food to people! Horrible experience, the pictures on the site DO NOT MATCH what is really happening !

I love this place. It never gets old for me. I've been going here for years. I love the drinks and wings with the sweet spicy sauce. Reggae is my life. Stay live and thanks for the great times.

Came here for the first time for the last stop on my birthday and so glad we did! I heard of the Wild Hare when it was up north and forgot they moved to west loop so I’m glad we stumbled upon it! Great vibes, great drinks, … definitely will be back!

Okay I feel bad doing this, but it needs to be done. Pretty much ALL photos you see here are of the old locations. Bless anyone who uploads new photos of the interior so people can see. I won't, because... It's not going to help them. However, seeing all these photos also sets them up for failure because people don't know what they're getting. I finally had a chance to check out the new location a few months ago and it was just a basement painted black with a band in a corner. A friend told me they do have a nice rooftop -i searched and saw a tiktok of it, it looked nice. But the basement? I was honestly shocked. I don't know what's going on with the business and I don't want to bash them - im sure they're doing their best. They will need to invest in something in that space to make it a space people want to be in. Either that or bring in popular bands and DJs, charge no cover, and pack the place. The only way that basement is gonna have a vibe is if there's a bunch of people enjoying themselves in there. And that's fine for an established business to just have a plain Jane basement, but with the new move... I'm worried for them. I hope they do some updates downstairs! Review from 8 yrs ago: 5 star & Great live music
