A longtime gem. Under newer ownership, the food is just as good as the original. Check out the freezer filled with an assortment of their amazing soups! Service isn't the fastest, but food is prepared as ordered. Decor is fun (Star Trek!), although starting to show its age (the poster of Mr Spock in the ladies room is getting ragged). Parking is a bear, many of the nearby spots must be paid online.

First time here and the food was awesome! We had the La NASA sub and the warm Jefferson sandwich. Both were great and came with the home made chips. The meat on the Jefferson sandwich was so tender. I will definitely be back soon!

“I have passed this place many times.”

I have passed this place many times. I have even locked my bike up in front of it many times to go to the convenient store a couple doors down. I have been wanting to check it out. Yesterday i went. Man am i glad i did. The food is really good and reasonably priced. Not only that the place is full of cool start trek memorabilia. I definitely love it and will be going back. The owner even told me a story about how he got sued by Paramount when the name was The Starship Enterprises Inc. Lol. Cool place, cool people, cool local business owner. Starship is this amazing little place that you could easily mistake for a little hole in the wall as you walk by. Some further inspection will tell you it's a Star Trek themed sandwich joint, but the place needs no gimmicks. The sandwiches are consistently wonderful, and their soups are impressive in both quality and quantity. Sandwiches come with homemade chips, and unless you're very hungry a typical 6" and chips could net you 1-2 meals. They use sesame seed loaves, and they don't skimp on meat/toppings. Rounding out the experience, you have friendly and personable staff, and they bring your food out to you. All in all, Starship is one of the top two reasons I find myself coming back to this area again and again (the other one being Johnnie's), and even with a 40 minute hike the food always makes the journey worth it. Bottom line: fun vibe, great food, nice people. 5/5 do recommend.

“Fun sandwich place.”

Fun sandwich place. Homemade potato chips. Since we were new in the neighborhood and just getting to know them they offered us a bag of free chips homemade right there. And said we were free to sample things when we came in just let them know that we were new. They have a great selection of soups and stews packaged in single serving containers for takeout. Very friendly place. And as you can see from the pictures, starship decor on the walls. Next time I go I'm going to take home some soup or stew. Give it a try I'm sure you'll like it. Practically gourmet with really reasonable prices.

First time trying this place and the soup hype is real!! Love the theme and all the soup options in the freezer! I can not wait to come back and try more of the soups! Had the French onion and the Rosemary Chicken & Rice. The sandwiches were great too! Steak was tender and the meatballs were full of flavor!

Out and about on the West side burbs and we found this place for lunch. Now this, is a Deli. I had the cream of mushroom soup with The Jefferson and babe had the Chicken Cheddar soup and The Italian. Whoa! They make their own chips with your sandwich. This is why we are foodies and we always find the best places to eat. The soups are exceptional. Absolutely will be back.

Amazing little spot. Really good variety of affordable sandwiches. An amazing polish “ski bomber”. My favorite part is the ever rotating roster of fresh hot soups! You get a monster portion for about 5 bucks or a quart for 10. Really love the northern bean but they’re all amazing. Plus available frozen for convenient meals any time. Also have a soft spot for the Italian garlic parmesan frys. Great spot for any time of day. Nice staff. Perfect munchies spot!

Many custom sub options but the soup is why I go. Everyday they have at least 5 or 6 soups they are serving with around 30 different and unique flavors frozen in there cooler. I’m a soup guy and this is the place!

“First time coming in and loving the nostalgia.”

First time coming in and loving the nostalgia. Picked up the Starfleet sandwich, which did not disappoint. Fresh ingredients and bread. Everything works together nicely. Was waiting for a bit, but that's okay. There was only one person making the sandwiches. Will definitely be coming back to try the many other sandwiches they have on the menu.
