Parson's Chicken & Fish (Logan Square) — a Logan Square bar & grill mainstay. Unpretentious and comfortable, exactly what you want. There's real intention behind the cocktail list. “The pickles were super tangy, which I loved, and the garlic mayo and Parson's red hot sauce added even more layers of flavor”
The reception and service started off so bad that we just changed our minds and left. It wasn’t crowded at all.
The food was mediocre, and we had to sit outside due to a wedding party going on inside.

We were going to go to Harolds but this place had better reviews. Very fast service. What i really loved was their tartar sauce. It reminded me of McDonald's but a zillion times better

“I stopped by Parson's Chicken & Fish after hearing a few friends talk about it, and I finally get the hype.”
I stopped by Parson's Chicken & Fish after hearing a few friends talk about it, and I finally get the hype. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. The chicken thigh was fried perfectly super juicy and tender inside, with this nice crisp on the outside. It was tossed in their Nashville hot sauce, which had just the right amount of heat for me. Spicy, but not the kind of spicy that ruins your taste buds. The coleslaw added this crunchy, cool contrast, and the American cheese melted just right. I don't usually order cheese on a spicy chicken sandwich, but this one worked. The pickles were super tangy, which I loved, and the garlic mayo and Parson's red hot sauce added even more layers of flavor. All of it came together on a soft brioche bun that held up without getting soggy. The vibe at Parson's was super chill, kind of retro picnic-style with a mix of families, couples, and dogs. Service was friendly, but not overly attentive, which was fine by me. I waited about 20 minutes for my food, which felt reasonable since it was a bit busy.

“The chicken is excellent, the drinks are very good.”
The chicken is excellent, the drinks are very good. Across multiple visits, the service has always been friendly but variable in attentiveness levels from the staff. Dinner and later service has been typically better than lunch service.

First time here. Chicken and fish were liked by everyone who ordered them, and I enjoyed the veggie sandwich. I'm not a vegetarian anymore but it sounded delicious - and it was. Our group had a selection of items from the menu and mostly enjoyed everything. A couple of people weren't crazy about the coleslaw (had an unexpected flavor they didn't liked) but others thought it was good. Good calamari. Fries were typical. The peach pastry dessert was disappointing. Didn't love the pickle soda but it was memorable! Overall we enjoyed our meal.

“I hadn’t been to Parsons in years, and this was my first time at the Logan location.”
I hadn’t been to Parsons in years, and this was my first time at the Logan location. Honestly was really impressed! If you want some good fried food and a fun atmosphere, this is the spot. Usually not a slaw guy on a chicken sandwich but theirs hit the spot and wasn’t overbearing. It’s a great spot for a larger crowd too, and there’s something for everyone on the menu. Definitely good to check out!

My girlfriend and I stopped by Parsons on a sunny Saturday afternoon looking for a quick bite, and we were drawn in by the solid reviews. We each ordered the Nashville hot two-piece chicken, which came with incredibly juicy and crispy pickles. We also shared the cod and shrimp combo—both were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. I especially enjoyed the cod; the light batter let the flavor of the fish really shine through. While the chicken was a bit spicier than I prefer, the portion size was generous and satisfying. Overall, a great spot for tasty, well-prepared comfort food.

“This place is off the chain good.”
This place is off the chain good. Their fried chicken is excellent. Love the spicy dark, the spicy white. They had a Sweet n Sour wing special running last summer, and they were delicious. The sides are wonderful from the mac n cheese to the hush puppies. The place is always packed! Very nice oitdoor seating that is famiky style so you share earing soaces with strangers. They even have their own line of Pilsner. Staff are great and friendly.

PARSONS is my favoriteeeee spot for a Cesar wrap!!! It’s beyond AMAZING, you can customize with their spicy seasoned chicken. Best idea they’ve ever had. I literally come here twice a month. Their chicken and all other food is delicious, like their hush puppies BOMB! This specific restaurant is amazing the staff are so kind and welcoming. And their chefs know what they’re doing.

“Chill patio vibes and crispy chicken.”
Chill patio vibes and crispy chicken. Big Dipper Platter was an wild party full of fried goodness… chicken nugs, fried shrimps, hush puppies (these were unusually good) and fries. Most importantly the TEN dips it came with. Blue cheese dressing stole the show, lights out. All of this was somehow only $35, bangin' deal. The lady had the Buffalo Chicken Poutine. Solid buffalo sauce, especially loved the tough of pickled celery on top. Tried the 'not chicken' plant based sandwich and found it enjoyable both in texture and flavor. Patio was awesome with plentiful seating. Frozen Negroni was a banger along with the pickle marg. Good times for sure.

“Good food that would've been great if the temperature was consistent.”
Good food that would've been great if the temperature was consistent. Fried fish was tasty, but 2 of the 3 pieces were room temperature while the 3rd was fresh. The hot chicken sandwich was great. Fries were good. Service was abysmal. Server took our order then we never saw her again until our food was long gone and we had been waiting on refills of water. Our dishes were even cleared by another member of staff minutes before she realized she had a table to take care of. It wasn't very busy, she was just vacuous.
