“Local gem, a must visit for Mexican food lovers. I feel a fulfilling taco is a rarity these days, with most places serving a child's serving size at 1.5x the price. Not here. Carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor are on point. Prices are good, portions are better. Will be back to try the rest.”

“Update (Jul 2026): The home of the $12 steak burrito is no more! The steak burrito is now $16 or a 33.3% increase. Much of the menu has seen a revamp with most seeing increases. ==================================================== I love this place!! The steak burrito is only $12 and it is my benchmark for other Mexican restaurants. The burrito doesn't leak which makes a handheld less messier. Some other recommends are the taco salad and the fajitas. In all reality, everything on the menu is solid and tasty.”

“Writing this review after my second visit for a full sit down meal. I enjoy the $5 margs on Mondays. Either it be the pressure to make a formidable tip or to deflect from 20-something year olds getting drunk, the servers will not let you enjoy your marg prior to ordering food. So, you must be direct in telling them that you’re there for drinks or that you simply want to enjoy your drink prior to having food. In my two visits, the star of the show are the tacos. Their quesabirria and regular birria taco (which typically comes with a broth), are, in my opinion, the best on this side of California and Milwaukee. On my second visit, I had some gorditas. Because gorditas do not have cilantro or onion, rather, tomatoes and lettuce, the meat gets drowned in the masa flavor that’s drenched in oil. It’s a bite of sameness no matter which meat you order it with. I would take a note from the Gorditas from Doña Naty’s. You can’t win them all! I will return for more! The place is family-run and I can’t wait to try more plates. You will not leave hungry.”

“We come here religiously. Best margaritas and Mexican food in the neighborhood.”

“Real real good Mexican. Delicious. Staff was friendly. Particularly Ms. Danielle. A must stop.”

“I’ve been there three times already. The food was really good, and the portions were nice too.”

“The best tacos de lengua! Steak tacos are delicious as well! I had a tostada and that was so good with a real fried tortilla”

“Great food at a great price! The staff are friendly and the space is charming! I go here at least once a month. Never had a bad experience!”

“I frequently visit this restaurant. It’s easy to get to since it’s right off the California blue line stop. The staff are always friendly even though it is always busy when I go. The dining area is small so prepare for a little bit of a wait if you go durinf their busy periods but they’re quick to turn tables. I try to get something different every time I come and no matter what I try, it always has excellent flavor & is fresh!”

“The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent. Flor took great care of us we love her! Make sure to ask for her. Highly recommended!”

“Great please. I made two new friends while I wait. Thank you to the guys in the table 13 for taking care of the bill. The birria ramen was delicious! Highly recommended!”
