Mirra
Mirra — well-regarded food in Bucktown. Good energy here, especially on weekends. Worth ordering a drink, because the bar holds its own. Brandon M: "The Roasted Beets were my favorite, bright crispy beets perfectly seasoned with a smoky dip overflowing"

“Best meal I have had in such a long time! Very food friendly drinks, impeccable service!”

“We came the other night for the Chef’s Tasting Menu and the experience was exceptional! Our waitress was superb - knowing everything about each dish, being present and available, and her knowledge extended beyond the plate itself. The ambiance was great and the chef presented a few of the courses to us as well. All staff were aware of my food allergy and paid attention to it throughout and the alternate dishes/ingredients came across well thought out. I can’t wait to go back for the next seasons menu and even the regular dining menu. The only photo I forgot to take was of dessert.”

“Had the most memorable dinner at Mirra. The chefs counter tasting menu was so so delicious, and the wine pairing was also a huge plus! Loved every bite and each course blended flavors from India and Mexico perfectly. Service was also great! Thank you Chef Miguel and Jeremy for a wonderful time and insightful storytelling! Will be back for sure.”

“Love Mirra - creative, interesting, surprising, without ever feeling pretentious. Have eaten brunch here twice (so far!) with a different menu each time. They change the menu every two to three months, which seems like the perfect cadence to stay seasonal and encourage trying new things each visit. This time we had the French toast (so decadent and flavorful, perfect to split) and the huevos rancheros with lamb and roti (messy-ish, perfectly spicy and flavorful). Couple notes: - Some of the dishes can be a little messy. Indian can be like that, with sauces and roti and such. Lean into it. - They do not have an espresso machine. Their spiced hot coffee is great (just the perfect light hint of sweetness) and their iced black coffee also hits the mark. But you can't get any espresso drinks here.”

“Had an amazing dinner here Friday night — crazy flavorful food and an unbelievably charming team (HUGE shout out Adrienne and Eddie Cruuuuuz!!!). Drinks were spot on, the aguachile was a standout, silky and elegant, and the tacos arabe were just perfect. Mezze to start is a must have… some of the best sikil pak out there. And yes, we went back to an equally amazing brunch two days latter — perfect eggs, perfect savory uttapham… and I could go on. Just go. There’s only one Mirra… I wish I could pack it up and take it with me everywhere I go.”

“Had dinner at Mirra and it was fantastic - the reviews are spot on. Inventive Indian-Mexican food was all delicious. The mezze and aguachile to kick off were unique in flavor and amazing. Had the Indian riff on a margarita (which may be my favorite margarita ever - wow). The wagyu huarache and lamb tacos were great. The beets were the best. And the team there was genuinely having a great time! Shout outs to Eddie and Adrian. Bummed I didn’t try the tres leche dessert - everyone was ordering - next time!”

“Walked in on a whim as a solo diner and was seated quickly — great first impression. What followed was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. My server Eddy was fantastic: friendly, down to earth, and genuinely helpful without being overbearing. The crispy taco with Hudson Bay scallops was excellent, but the tacos arabes were the real showstopper — easily the best tacos I’ve ever had. The lamb with that crispy cheese flour tortilla is something else entirely. Eddy steered me toward the rasmalai tres leches for dessert, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. Extremely delicious. Don’t skip it. Mirra is the real deal. Already thinking about my next visit.”

“Amazing restaurant. The flavors are unlike anything else I’ve tried before. It has been a while since a restaurant in Chicago blew my mind. The Mexican/Indian combination sounds strange but they make it work in the best possible way. The dishes flavors are increíble and the service even better.”

“We have been wanting to go to Mirra for a long time. I am Indian and my girlfriend is Latina, so the combination of both cuisines sound very exciting for both of us. I really wanted to highlight the service during this visit as we were treated very well by Pablo and our server, Francisco. We also loved the explanations behind the dishes, the recommendations on how to eat the food, and the preparation, story and inspiration behind everything we ate - that interaction part of the dinner was a great experience and made it unique. Sadly, we didn't have the chance to try a lot of the menu items this time, but everything we did order was perfect. We're definitely coming back… the biryani and Tacos Arabes are a must have!!”

“Edie and front desk gentleman Professional and they know what they doing Taco fish cold appetizer exceptional 5 star 5 diamond”

“SHERRY and her team do an excellent job ensuring every detail is taken care of. The service is impeccable, and the team under her leadership moves with true harmony and ease. CARNE APACHE was my favorite of the night -bold, and incredibly addicting, with just enough heat to keep you coming back for another bite. CHARRED CAULIFLOWER SALAD is hands-down the best cauliflower salad I've ever had. The layers of texture make every bite interesting, from smoky char to crisp and creamy elements. LAMB BARBACOA BIRYANI is beautifully presented — rich, aromatic, and deeply comforting, with flavors that unfold as you eat. TRES LECHES is a must-order. The mango pairing is spot on. I didn't think I could eat another bite, but somehow the plate was completely clean.”
