“Famous TacoBurger is one of those places I’ve been meaning to try for awhile now— and boy do I wish I got here sooner! The tacos are legit, like, from the streets of Mexico legit. Juicy and flavorful meat topped with onion and cilantro wrapped in nice thick corn tortillas. What more could you ask for! The menu is extensive too, featuring both Mexican and American food (hence the name TacoBurger!). I will be back to try the chilaquiles and the sope! Folks, this isn’t fine dining. Don’t expect the ambience of a 4 star classy restaurant. This is down to earth, tried and true, authentic Mexican food. Take it for what it is and enjoy a delicious meal.”
“It's tough to find decent street tacos in Evanston, but Taco Burger definitely delivers. Their tacos are packed with flavor, and I was really impressed with the quality of the ingredients. I also tried their signature taco burger, and it was surprisingly good! The flavors all worked really well together. Now I'm going to have a hard time choosing between the tacos and the burger on my next visit. They also have a great deal on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with $2 tacos from 6 to 7 pm. If you're in the mood for some tasty and affordable tacos, definitely check out Taco Burger.”

“They just let anyone open a restaurant nowadays. This place is always slow and wrong. When my colleagues suggested this place my instincts said, don't do it. I wish I had listened. What a waste of lunch money on this crappy food. Gross. There's nothing special about this place. Everything is regular. 0/10”
“I can’t rate the food because I didn’t get any even though I tried really hard. This place has been open in our neighborhood for a bit and I see why people are warning against it after visiting. We tried to go tonight (March 18th, 2024) but walked in…twice…and couldn’t get the two people working to even look up because they were both super into whatever they were looking at on their phones. We walked to the counter, lingered and said “excuse me” both times and finally walked out before trying one more time and saying “are you open?!” from the front door and still nothing. The woman finally looked up as we yelled across the restaurant but didn’t stand up so we decided to go somewhere else. The tables are spaced like it was four years ago the beginning of Covid. There were no other patrons, so I get they were entertaining themselves on their phones, but at least face the door. Have your head on the swivel. Try to do the basic part of your job. If you’re interested go now, I can’t imagine they’ll be open much longer.”
“This is gonna sound incendiary but these are the ONLY good tacos in Evanston. And they’re not just good, they’re excellent. The staff here are so sweet and the prices are excellent for the quality (I noticed some reviews saying it was expensive, but for the taco dishes I’m getting it’s really inexpensive so don’t know if things have changed). The food is super fresh and we’ve never ordered a bad dish. The interior design is odd, but seems to be improving to be more comfortable to dine in. However, long menu and table set up aside, we dine in or carry out from here almost weekly and are so glad a great taco place is so close by.”

“This review is long overdue! We've been ordering takeout from Famous TacoBurger since they first opened. The tacos and guacamole are fantastic and reasonably priced. The steak taco with onion and cilantro is delicious. My husband really likes their burrito and son loves the chicken tenders and fries!”
