Daisies
Daisies — honest food in Logan Square, where the Pasta is worth ordering. Good energy here, especially on weekends. Good cocktails round out an already strong menu. Jesse Palma: "As for the sides, the breakfast potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crispy and easily the best side" [$$]

“Had an excellent pre-Wrigley concert meal here. Creative, fresh seasonal cocktails. Chips and dip great, simple starter. The pappardelle gluten free sub was delicious. My husband said the chocolae crunch cake is his last death row meal. Server Kevin was wonderful!”

“We absolutely enjoyed our visit to Daisies last night. The dinner service was spectacular. We started with a couple appetizers, the Fritto Misto, and their strawberry toast; both were delectable. For entrees we loved the Capellacci and the Stracci — two of their best pasta dishes. The Stracci was tasty; my Capellacci was out of this world, like little pillows with a satiny, flowing filling, in a delectable sauce. We finished with the Seven Sisters dessert… perfect for sharing. Everything was plated so beautifully and let me tell you, the service was impeccable. I dropped my napkin and somebody quietly replaced it with a fresh one before I could blink! Utensils were cleared right on time, we did not have to ask for anything because the staff here was on top of it. The vibe here is warm and lovely and so Zen. I love that they use local ingredients wherever possible, and grow their own herbs. We became members of the clean plate club, and will be back to try more.”

“I miiiight be slightly biased but Daisies is probably my favorite restaurant in Chicago. I just loooove everything about it. I thought the ramps raviolo was going to be my favorite thing I tried this visit, but it’s been three days and I’m still thinking about the peanut butter honey brioche.”

“Daisies was awesome! My favorite dishes that we ordered were the onion dip with the smoked trout roe, the rigatoni, and a scoop of the combination peanut butter-cookie dough-brownie. We had Kevin as our waiter and I think he was my favorite waiter ever. He was extremely attentive and incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He definitely sold us on the roe. I also had the Apletini and it was wonderful as well. Will be returning next time we are in Chicago!”

“Came for brunch, the pastries are incredible and the food was amazing!”

“Service was great and the food delicious. Home made chips were outstanding and addictive. No Coke products….. my only complaint.”

“Incredible pasta, amazing service, thanks for the incredible time Daises staff!”

“Delicious food and amazing service. The perfect place for a lovely evening!”

“I really enjoyed their pasta and dessert. Beets were just ok, nothing special.”

“Daisies lived up to the hype and brought their A-team for Chicago restaurant week. Our waiter was fantastic in explaining the menu and recommending dishes to pair together and share. Flavor and cook of the food was out of this world. I can't wait to come back and try the full menu!! Food reviews: Onion dip--I'll never look at grocery store chips and dip the same way. Salty and garlicky combo was addictive to start the meal. Must order! Sweet onion toast--described like a "smash burger" by our waiter, the toast was packed with deep caramelized flavor from the onions. Sauce paired well with an acidic bite Burrata--just okay compared to the other apps. Homemade cracker had a good texture. Burrata itself could use more flavor or mostarda to bring out sweetness Strozzapreti--described as a "hamburger helper", this dish took the grocery store staple and blew it out of the water. Duck was tender and rich throughout. Pappardelle--beautiful red sauce and cooked to perfection. Very fresh and complimented the duck well Butter cake--I'll be dreaming about this. Light and airy cake was beautiful with the cream on top and crunch from garnish Dark chocolate tart--rich chocolate flavor without being too overwhelming. Crème fraiche broke up the bite nicely, almost like an Oreo! Side note: I've seen people are unhappy with the 25% automatic service charge, but they truly earned it during our visit from the kind hostess, to the attentive water service, to the fresh place settings and table wipe down between courses”

“Posting a review because I was that blown away by the service! Their commitment to creating a positive dining experience was outstanding. On our way to the restaurant, I unfortunately tripped and scraped up my knee. We called the restaurant to see if we could push back our reservation slightly and had no problem. Then when I arrived, clearly still shaken up and in pain, another staff person brought me a first aid kit, chatted with me a while, and offered to get me anything I needed. When we sat down, our waiter had already been told I was having a rough night and brought us some complimentary chips and French onion dip, which was delicious!! As so many others say, the food was truly outstanding, but it was the care I received in an unfortunate situation that made sure I will be coming back to Daisie’s regularly! We were there for Chicago Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious but I somehow didn’t get a picture of my two favorite things - the Strozzapreti pasta and the butter cake were both 1000/10.”
