Boka Restaurant Group — neighborhood food in West Loop. Works well for groups. Charlie Bain: "The steak they served was tender and red all the way through with the carrots and mash potatoes perfectly"

verbatim, from Google“We worked with BRG for our wedding anniversary and had an absolutely stellar experience! Shawn and the entire team were communicative, friendly, enthusiastic, and warm from the moment we reached out. Not only were they our caterers for our 80-ish person event at Promontory Point, they were our de-facto party planners! They advised us on where best to put tables, what to expect with guest flow, how much folks usually eat/drink, and - best of all, because they knew the space - all the quirks of the building. Our special day was stress free and everything we hoped for. I recommend them highly for anyone planning a special day/event. Worth every penny.”
“The best restaurant group in Chicago! Really lovely people and the food is spectacular”
“They catered an event I worked at and they killed it. The steak they served was tender and red all the way through with the carrots and mash potatoes perfectly seasoned. The staff was professional and friendly, all the way up and down the line.”
“Outstanding dining experience- the food, the ambiance, the service. FIVE STARS all the way!”
“Very bad service.. We got there the table was not ready yet, they left us waiting in the hall very uncomfortably. The service was messy, several different people coming to our table, we had to ask more than twice to be able to order a bottle, and when we did, they manage to loose it. I was celebrating my graduation, the person serving our table began by saying happy birthday.. I corrected her, she just said it's usually birthday that is why she got confused (which is totally fine!), but then she came back to our table a couple minutes later saying "oh, I just saw you are celebrating you graduation, congratulation!!" - clearly disconnected.. The only good part in the service, was the person doing the water filling - great service on that part, and he was the one who helped us get the other services (I didn't catch your name, but thank you!!). My family was visiting from another country, this was their first time in Chicago, and I thought Boka would be a special part in their visit, but ended up being the worst meal we had because of the bad service!”
“Since the Boka Group took over the dining venues in the Chicago Athletic Association, the whole situation has been a nightmare. The individual restaurant websites are flaky and unreliable, neither the on-site Boka representative nor the corporate office returns emails or voicemails, information is just too difficult to obtain. In my opinion, an operation that cannot manage communication cannot be trusted with execution. I will give these a pass and, after this experience, will reconsider all Boka venues.”
“This is one of the most unorganized chaotic companies ever. The servers had no real leadership. The food was Hella nasty. I don't see how this place is still in business. The team leaders were all over the place. They had the servers running from table to table in a confused manner.. The cooks arguing in the back. No one wearing gloves. Their nasty hands touching food people have to consume. Servers dressed like they just woke up. A hot mess.”
“I would highly not recommend. Like it’s 0/10 with Boka group. The management and service was terrible and had us waiting for things quite a while. not what I expected but unprofessionalism is what I got. Food is high quality but was not handled with care at all. They are highly unprofessional and just want to earn a quick buck. I’d look somewhere else before. Service staffed looks very sloppy and is just not a good look for upscale or high quality catering. You definitely don’t want these ppl running your wedding and receptions. They were late setting up, doing things last minute, and just had very little sense of urgency. Tons of scrambling amongst the staff. Look elsewhere guys”
