Silk Road of Chicago — chinese in Loop. Order the Spicy Chicken. Flavors stay true to the source. Scott H: "The other food is OK, but the Spicy Chicken is one of the best lunches in the Loop"

“Spicy chicken is still very tasty (though still not spicy enough but good) and orange chicken is got that bit of spice but nice sauce, better than Panda's orange chicken, slightly less sweet and a bit more savory”
Staff were nice and accommodating, but the restaurant feels a little weird being combined with the sushi place.
I donno man, this place used to be so good. I haven't been back in a while.
I have been working in the area for 20 years.

“Amazing experience.”
Amazing experience! Loved the food! Amazing reasonably priced food and tasted so good! They gave a decent portion of the main dish and rice with my meal. It’s in a hard to find area but is worth your time coming here. It’s quick, cheap, and great food!

“This place gets 5 stars for it's one dish that they perfected.”
This place gets 5 stars for it's one dish that they perfected. "Spicy chicken". It is a little sweet, good and spicy (but not painful), has a few nice token veggies in it, plentiful sauce, but not goopey. Everything else is fine and standard, but you go here for the spicy chicken. It is just as good as I remember it the first time I had it over 10 years ago.

“Ive been a huge fan of Silk Road for the past 20 years, Amazing how time flies.”
Ive been a huge fan of Silk Road for the past 20 years, Amazing how time flies. I use to drive downtown just to get lunch at their jackson and Franklin location. The lasalle location is the last location left. The Spicy Chicken is one of a kind in my opinion. Cant wait to go back again and again.

A modern take on take out Chop Suey? Serve food in styrofoam containers. Has a wine and coffee bar without any info on the menu. Happy hour sign on the window...

“Spicy Chicken is best anywhere.”
Spicy Chicken is best anywhere. A chili sauce with a lot of kick with just the right amount of sweet. I also get the Spicy Shrimp often, basically the same as Spicy Chicken using shrimp. Dining area hot and humid. Employees were nicer on my last visit. Previous visits employees would grunt when you approach the register. I guess it's true, all good things eventually come to an end. Enjoy it while you can!

“This place is already known to many Chicago financial district lunch goers.”
This place is already known to many Chicago financial district lunch goers. Good service and good foods under budget. They've continued to serve their famous spicy chicken for more than two decades from the original Jackson location to current W Arcade Pl location. All foods are prepared onsite. Popular dishes are prepared and ready to serve. some menu they cook after you placed your order. Waiting time is less than 5 mins.

“Who ever made the rice today shouldn’t be allowed to make it anymore.”
Who ever made the rice today shouldn’t be allowed to make it anymore. Very mushy. Beef and broccoli by itself was okay, a little sweet. Egg drop soup is also not suppose to have all that extra stuff. Egg rolls were 10/10 It’s pretty in there tho, good music and great service.
