Spicy chicken is still very tasty (though still not spicy enough but good) and orange chicken is got that bit of spice but nice sauce, better than Panda's orange chicken, slightly less sweet and a bit more savory

Silk Road of Chicago — chinese in Loop. Order the Spicy Chicken. Flavors stay true to the source. Scott H: "The other food is OK, but the Spicy Chicken is one of the best lunches in the Loop" [$]

They did a great job with decorating the place. Although the spicy chicken and fried rice are different than what we remember back in the day 30+ years ago, still tastes very good in its own way. I love the sweet and sour chicken...it tastes like Tangsuyuk sauce. We'll be back.

Second time I've brought friends here for sushi. Magnificent twice. Very lucky to have "Sam" as our server both times. Hidden gem. Go find it.

A modern take on take out Chop Suey? Serve food in styrofoam containers. Has a wine and coffee bar without any info on the menu. Happy hour sign on the window...

Who ever made the rice today shouldn’t be allowed to make it anymore. Very mushy. Beef and broccoli by itself was okay, a little sweet. Egg drop soup is also not suppose to have all that extra stuff. Egg rolls were 10/10 It’s pretty in there tho, good music and great service.

I finally had a chance to try Silk Road of Chicago, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and had a great balance of flavors that made every bite enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were welcoming and happy to answer questions about the menu. Service was quick even though the restaurant was fairly busy. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes the next time I'm in the area.

Silk Road of Chicago was a solid grab for a quick lunch in the Loop. Went around 12:30 and got the hand-pulled beef noodle bowl, pork dumplings, and a jasmine iced tea. Noodles had that nice chew and the broth was super comforting, hit just right on a windy Chicago day. Watching them work the open kitchen was a nice touch too. Fast, filling, and no drama—definitely coming back again.
