“The NEW tasty cuisine is fantastic! Man, they have so many incredible dishes, and they are all very authentic and delicious. Not your average run of the mill Chinese restaurant that you find around, this one is a step above! And it’s family owned to boot. Try the thousand page tofu, even if you’re not a veg-head. Or the Cantonese fried noodles, but the chow fun is really where it’s at, the noodles are crispy and also soft with the best brown sauce I’ve had! 10/10 would recommend to everyone. I hope they’re around for many decades to come(: and also, the renovations they did made the interior super clean and bright and just an awesome place to eat.”
“Update 2-2026. New Tasty Cuisine is even better than the old one which was awesome. Every dish we've had has been top notch. The place has been so tastefully renovated. It's so bright and cheery and spotless. I've gone to Tasty Cuisine for over two decades. They have had the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. Even Chinatown doesn't compare. The Sweet and Sour Soup is by far the best out there. Every dish I've had has been superior in quality. You may pay a dollar or two more for a lunch or meal but it's certainly worth it to have a fresh tasting, always great quality Chinese meal. I'm so extra glad it's right here in Des Plaines.”

“New Review 1/26/26: I am so happy they are open again, it's the ONLY good chinese food in the area. I love the new remodel, the food is still delicious and the same. They added some really good refreshing waters to the menu. I love the new decor and still very friendly service. Can't wait to come back! Old Review: Great food and service. “Everything is great with huge improvements compared to the previous ownership. Good authentic chinese food. I haven’t tried their American chinese food yet so no comments on that area. Environment is clean and cozy. Male bathroom was also really clean which is impressive for a chinese restaurant 👍”

“I ordered takeout from NEW Tasty Cuisine Chinese Restaurant - 国潮粵菜城, and everything was excellent! The egg drop soup and wonton soup were hot and flavorful, the chicken chow fun noodles were fresh and tasty, and the Mongolian beef was tender and delicious. Love their new and upgraded look, and even their new takeout bag—it really adds a nice touch. Definitely my new go-to spot for Chinese takeout!”
