“Delicious Habchi! Went here for the first time back in August of 2025 and was hooked probably have been back about 10 times since 😂. The food is always good and you can never get enough of that rice, the food portions justify the price during dinner time. The servers are always very attentive and the chefs are always fun and throwing you little extras and the filet mignon is like butter one bite and you're getting that flavor savory taste. Fun experience for all ages and would recommend to all!”

“Restaurant is 45 min to 1 hour away from home, the drive is worth it, my family picks this restaurant very often as the food and drinks are excelente. The service is always above my expectations, everybody treats us very well, Amy is one of best, she takes the time to explain the menu if we have questions and her recommendations are a good choice. Our Chef was Johnny he explained very well what each sauce is for and were entertained with the preparation of food, see attached video. I was struggling a bit with the chopsticks and Amy came to the rescue with an attachment that made eating with chopsticks very easy.”

The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. If you're looking for great Chinese food in the River Forest area, New Star is definitely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back!”
