I was debating whether to give Dragon Gate 4 or 5 stars. The food is pretty tasty, but damn, it's not an easy place to do business with. They don't have a website or online menu, they don't have a paper carry out menu, you can't order online, they don't deliver, and they don't take credit cards. It's a bit of a pain in the rump to order from here, but it's really the only good Chinese take out place that's close to where I live. So, I'll give it 5 stars for the food. Message to owner: Please enter the 21st century!! I've posted a picture of their current menu and prices as of November 2022.

Talk about FAST. We had our order within 20 minutes. Two entrees, some eggrolls, extra rice and a Coke WITH tip was less than $30. They lady was super nice to us. They only take cash as payment.

Take out place. One table there. Sweet n sour pork, look like fried in old oil. Fried rice, nice flavor, could use a little dark soy flavor. But.. carrots? Peas, um not usual. Where’s the egg and bean sprouts? Catering to neighborhood, perhaps… might go back for the rice but order without carrots.

HARD PASS. Egg roll had wonton wrapper, not terrible. Mongolian beef tastes like hospital food. Huge slabs of not BBQ pork in the fried rice - no egg? no sprouts? But carrot and peas? First Chinese food in a long time that doesn't seem to know how to "velvet" beef.. Hot and sour soup looks like nasty tofu gravy.

Spicy shrimp fried rice always good along with the crab Rangoon and egg rolls which are always hot and crispy. The owner is the sweetest lady and always friendly every day yes I said everyday because I go there for lunch 5 times a week!!! Because the food and service is just that good❤️

Fried rice 🔥! Think it's one of the best fried rice we've had especially for a small neighborhood restaurant -Weve tried Orange chicken, our opinion NOT really good,didn't have any taste really, it was bland and didn't taste like your standard orange chicken at all. However cooked well and looked good...we just would never order that dish again. If want a guaranteed good dish with your order try it!

Stopped in here to grab a bite because I had to kill some time waiting for someone. I wish this place was in my neighborhood. I think it's one of the better Hole in the Wall Chinese places in the city. It looked like a one woman show when I was there. She was very kind and makes a good American Chinese dish.
