I thought I would check this place out since it newly opened right by my place and the reviews were good.
2nd Visit: Sad to say I won't be coming back anymore to this place. Gave it a second try and it's really bad.

“Chengdu Bistro in Printer's row is excellent.”
Chengdu Bistro in Printer's row is excellent. The go- to for my family for their soup dumplings (they love the pork ones) and I love the duck fried rice and chicken egg rolls. The service is always great and the flavored lemonade and teas are refreshing. If you want consistently great food and service, then make sure to visit.

“Absolutely delightful experience!”
Absolutely delightful experience!! The green beans dish was the best I have ever had!! I tried three dishes and every time I got a new dish it became my new favorite! Highly recommend the spicy cucumber as well! Quality service and food!!

Nice little Chinese restaurant near the Dearborn station. Friendly service and good food. We ordered a smattering of appetizers and entree food. Loved the boiled Szechuan beef and the potatoes (essentially fries topped with spicy szechuan and red peppers). Family sized portions. They're BYOB! Street metered parking available around.

“We were next door having wine, but passed this place on the way and circled back once we got hungry.”
We were next door having wine, but passed this place on the way and circled back once we got hungry. What a hidden gem! We got three plates which left us perfectly full. The wontons and dumplings were thin, with a generous amount of filling and in perfectly seasoned sauces. My friend got a noodle dish and at first we were concerned they would be dry, but were delighted to find out there was a hidden serving of a very tasty sauce under the noodles once mixed. Overall would gladly come back and definitely recommend this for a date night or quick bite out!

Food was good. Service is good. Nice spot for Szechuan food. If you don’t like Szechuan there’s other typical Chinese food variety. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely would come back again.

Still in “soft opening” phase but the Sichuan cuisine goes hard! I appreciate that as a white guy they give me the legit spice level, no questions asked. Music was a nice mix of Chinese pop and Rihanna.

Everything was absolutely delicious! Each dish was flavorful & had a great amount of spice. We ordered the Yibin Flaming Noodles, Numbing Spicy Ground Pork Noodle Soup, Soup Dumplings & Steamed Lamb & Dill dumplings. So happy to have this new place in the neighborhood & can’t wait to come back.

This place is just what the South Loop needed - hands down some of the best food in the neighborhood. Loved every single thing we ordered. Come here prepared to eat some flavorful, spicy food. Lots of other things on the menu to balance the spice. All dumplings and Noodles are made in house. These are some of the best things I have ever eaten. Thank you Chengdu Bistro! Shout out to Noah who was super knowledgeable and kind.
