“The spice was balanced with the perfect amount of queso fresco and crema, and the chicken was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection”
Had a breakfast sandwich and it was small and extremely basic and boring.
Extremely not as promised.
They are closed this morning. Walked there for breakfast bc Google states that it is open.

“Dulce de Leche Cafe is a small gem in the Edgewater community.”
Dulce de Leche Cafe is a small gem in the Edgewater community. It’s a very small space with little seating room, but the food, drinks and service are all top notch. Very friendly staff that are always pleasant. It can take a little time to receive your order, but it is worth the wait.

“I love Dulce de leche Cafe.”
I love Dulce de leche Cafe! We were visiting Chicago for a friend’s wedding and staying around the corner. Our first morning, we wandered into this spot for breakfast and were blown away! Their food is DELICIOUS (try the chilaquiles with homemade hot sauce!) and the coffee drinks too. Plus Josue who runs the shop is an absolute angel and so fun to talk to. In five days, we visited three times lol. I’ll definitely be back next time I come to visit!

“While visiting our daughter at Loyola, we were looking for a great coffee and brunch spot.”
While visiting our daughter at Loyola, we were looking for a great coffee and brunch spot. A high Google rating lured us a little off the beaten path, and we decided to give it a shot. From the outside, the place seemed small and didn't quite match the "vibe" I had in mind. But as soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by the friendliest person. The cafe was small, but it was incredibly cute and clean. We ordered the chicken chilaquiles with green sauce. I had an iced americano, which was balanced and tasty. My husband tried the dulce de leche latte with oat milk. It was not too sweet, which is always a worry for him. Everything was absolutely delicious. The chilaquiles were perfectly crunchy, soaking up the slightly spicy green sauce. The spice was balanced with the perfect amount of queso fresco and crema, and the chicken was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. We can't recommend this place enough!

“Dulce de leche was a 10/10 late brekky/brunch spot for us.”
Dulce de leche was a 10/10 late brekky/brunch spot for us. Their horchata lattes, omelette, and french toast were so rich in flavor. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great playlist, lighting, seating made for an immaculate start to the day. walking distance from the beach as well.

“Josue, the Manager at this location, was very gracious and allowed me the opportunity to take pictures there.”
Josue, the Manager at this location, was very gracious and allowed me the opportunity to take pictures there. While I may be partial, I must say that the food is exceptional. The blend of Mexican-American café fusion is truly splendid. Their Cafe de Olla is particularly noteworthy, and one simply must try their quesadillas before leaving.

“I am so excited this cafe opened.”
I am so excited this cafe opened. Since the weather was so nice, I walked down today for a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! I meant to take a picture but I ate it before I could. I also had an iced chocolate abuelita and it was very refreshing! My partner had their 'my favorite chicken sandwich' and really enjoyed it. 5/5 experience and will be going back for more, check them out!
