What I love about the different Alexander's across Chicago is that they all have a unique atmosphere while maintaining the classic American diner menu. This location, on Clark St., is my favorite. It embodies more than just the menu. Maybe I'm just sentimental about the worn-in leather of the tightly packed booths, the thick ceramic mugs being filled with coffee by the hustling staff, but there's no place like it. Breakfast is where they excel and never miss, but the lunch is also worth it if you choose the soup or a sandwich over a burger.

Great comfort food, wide selection so there is something that will satisfy you, and the staff is very friendly and takes care of their guests like we're friends stopping by. Haven't been here in a while due to life, but we went back and the food is just as good amd the staff just as friendly as always. The chilaquiles are my partner's favorite dish.

Alexander’s is the kind of old-school diner every ‘hood needs. Rolled in for breakfast and got the corned beef hash with eggs, plus pancakes on the side—chef’s kiss. Coffee stayed full the whole time. Spent about $20 total, left full and happy. Staff treats you like family, no BS, just solid comfort food.

I stopped by Alexander's last week on my lunch break for a bite. The food was great, I ordered the Turkey Club French Fries and Coleslaw! They also added a soup on top of that, which I got to go for my girlfriend. The atmosphere was nice, with windows overlooking the highway. The service was amazing, especially the server. She was so kind. She went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed.

I just wanted to share with you about our recent visit to Alexander's restaurant for breakfast. The staff there were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The service was prompt, with our drinks and food served quickly. The portions were generous - our plates were so full that we couldn't finish everything! We also noticed that if you order coffee, the staff are happy to keep refilling your cup. The bill was quite reasonable, and overall we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

What a great diner! Exploring the neighborhood and I read good things about this place so I had to check it out. So good!! Busy but not crazy busy, sat at the counter, which is always fun. The food was delicious and did not take long to get. The ladies behind the counter are very friendly! Definitely going to be my go to breakfast place from now on!!

Come try the alexander's wrap. Cook Fabiani made it so yummy. And the waitress Leslie was so nice too. Omlet with gyro Ooooommmmm ggggg Amazing Lui cook Amazing place for eating , and the staff is great too. They have Fresh brew coffee. Yummy pancakes.
