“Sad to say that this Oromo Cafe location is closing, their last day of service is from 8-2pm on Sunday April 26. Had some great Turkish coffees and Mediterranean breakfasts here. Bucktown will miss you, thank you!”

“Perfect aesthetic, friendly baristas, amazing coffee! Today was my first time in and i was immediately won over. Such a great environment for a hot drink on a rainy day🤗”

“Alot of vegan anf vegetarian options! I got the breakfast burrito and an oat milk chai. Both very delicious. Would def come back”

“Delicious gluten free treats! I’m not a coffee girlie but I love a good pastry. I honestly don’t remember what the things I got were called, but I sure did scarf those down pretty quickly. I went on the way to the airport. Would definitely go back if I return to Chicago!”

“This is not on their menu but I’m making a review because it needs to be!! probably one of the best matchas I’ve ever had and it was solely because I couldn’t decide between an horchata espresso drink or a matcha so I asked if I could just get the horchata milk with matcha added and it was gone in less than 5 minutes. The drink next to it was the same order but including the espresso shot as well!”

“Dined in on a whim and was delightfully surprised! Already looking forward to coming back for food and other beverages. I got the shaken espresso and an omelet (which was gorgeous but I didn't get a photo). Great atmosphere; they even have a little section with small coffee and gift selections.”

“Wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We had a great time with our friends and truly enjoyed every moment. A perfect place to relax, share good conversation, and enjoy amazing flavors. Highly recommended!”

“Oromo Cafe in Bucktown is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with beautiful decor that makes it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with a friend. Their coffee is truly delicious. The specialty drinks, especially anything with house-made nut milks, are a must-try. What really makes Oromo stand out, though, is the warmth of the people. Leyla, the owner, is incredibly sweet and kind. She brings a personal touch to the cafe. It’s clear she takes pride in creating a space that not only serves amazing coffee but also fosters a sense of community. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!”

“Had to have a Turkish Coffee and did not disappoint. If you haven’t had a Turkish coffee, it’s quite an interesting experience. It’s brewed in a pot of sand, including some Turkish Delight, interesting to see. It’s located underneath the Blue Line Western and Milwaukee stop. They serve all sorts of breakfast items, fresh pastries and lunch sandwiches, all looked good as I sat here.”
