“This was our first time coming to this restaurant and we were so impressed.”

This was our first time coming to this restaurant and we were so impressed. First, the view was lovely of the Chicago river right outside our window. Secondly, the food and drinks were so delicious that our whole group ate everything up. I ordered the poke tuna bowl and it was incredible. Thirdly, our waitress, Mihaela, was so kind, helpful and polite. She even offered to take a picture of our family when she noticed we struggled to do it ourselves. Love the atmosphere and decor as well and we will definitely come again.

“I’ve always enjoyed coming to South Branch for lunch and/or dinner.”

I’ve always enjoyed coming to South Branch for lunch and/or dinner. The outside patio is nice and I can bring my dog. I’ve never had a bad experience, the food is always tasty and consistent. They have a great Aperol Spritz! I recently tried the Pork Belly Sandwich and i highly recommend, especially if you like a balance of sweet and spicy. Mihaela, is a great waitress. She’s always friendly and provides great service. I enjoy being checked on but sometimes it can be too little or too much, she provides the right balance. Great place to go alone, during work or after. Also, enjoy the people watching on the patio as well as the boats. I hope you get to experience the restaurant as well as being serviced by Mihaela.

“Food here was great!”

Food here was great!! Split a steak wrap and it was absolutely delicious! The sweet potato fries were some of the best I’ve had in a while. Also, get the Brussels sprouts, 10/10. Our server, Mihaela, was super sweet and the service overall was very quick and welcoming.

Michaela was awesome and very sweet to talk to. As first time guests, she helped us narrow down what we should try! We substituted the tuna nachos for chicken nachos, so that was very accommodating of them! The steak wrap was delicious along with the Brussels sprouts!

We went at 7 on a tuesday night and it was relatively busy, while we might not have needed a reservation, I'd recommend one, especially on what are considered busier nights. Our waitress was super, and did great getting our cocktails out. We had the Buffalo Rolls and thought they were good, but we saw a couple plates of cheese curds pass by and wish we'd gotten those. Mahi Mahi Tacos live up to their hype, but the Korean BBQ Bowl is for sure our recommendation!

A surprisingly excellent venue for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception. There's an outdoor patio/courtyard nestled among skyscrapers for your vows, an outdoor bar along the river for cocktail hour and the dining room ambiance is as exceptional as the food. Perched along a river walk with easy access to iconic bridges, Wacker Drive and the Lyric Opera House promenade, South Branch affords limitless backdrops for your epic downtown Chicago wedding.
