This place is generally great, with good food, service and atmosphere. I've been here twice, in a group setting and with another person. When I was with the group we really enjoyed our time here. The only thing I didn't like was that they added %20 automatically. My second time there the service was a bit lacking which was a disappointment.

Lula Cafe nailed it. The chickpea frites were to die for, and the beet bruschetta was my favorite—creative, curious, and seriously memorable. We topped it off with two free scoops of Meyer lemon poppyseed ice cream for my girlfriend’s birthday, which was the perfect sweet finish. Next-level service, addictive atmosphere, and great vibes all around. One small note: the dinner menu is lighter on protein, so fellow carnivores—breakfast or lunch is your best bet. Still a must-visit Logan Square gem.

Lula Café was absolutely excellent. Every dish was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and—most importantly—delicious. The flavors were vibrant and well-balanced, and nothing felt repetitive despite the variety across the menu. The pacing and portion sizes were spot on: enough to feel satisfied without ever feeling heavy. The Pecorino cake deserves special mention—an unusual choice for dessert, but truly extraordinary and memorable. You can tell real care goes into both the cooking and the overall experience. A standout meal that lives up to its reputation. Easily a place I’d return to and confidently recommend.

I don’t usually review places ever but WOW. This place is 6/5 stars. I went here for my partner and I’s anniversary and they printed custom menus with our names for the occasion 😭 (tears of joy) food, drinks, dessert, music, ambiance. it was all crazy good. best meal i’ve had in years honestly. Sierra treated us very well. Very attentive and kind staff. Worth every single penny. If I could give any critiques, I would. But I can’t. What a perfect night ❤️

It was glorious! I ordered the garlic & chive dip, pasta yiayia, and a cranberry danish and everything was incredible. I had no idea cinnamon pasta was even a thing, but it was shockingly good. There’s a fixed 20% tip, but even with that I only paid about $54 for all of this. Honestly, such a great deal.

We visited Lula Cafe while spending time with our daughter who lives in Chicago and it turned out to be one of the most memorable meals of our trip. Lula has that rare mix of creativity and comfort that makes you feel at ease the moment you walk in. It is unassuming from the outside, but the moment the food arrives you understand why it is so beloved. The entire experience was excellent. The food was delicious from the first bite to the last. Lula takes familiar dishes and elevates them with fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. The dessert we ordered was so beautiful that we had to take a picture before touching it and it tasted even better than it looked. The service was outstanding. Our server was relaxed, friendly and truly attentive in a way that made the meal feel effortless. Nothing rushed and nothing overlooked. It felt like the kind of place that takes pride in every plate and every interaction. If you are in Chicago and want a restaurant that feels local and genuine, Lula Cafe cannot be missed. It offers incredible food, warm service and a atmosphere that makes you want to come back. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the city or anyone who wants a meal that feels special without trying too hard. Sorry about just a pic of dessert but we were hungry! :)

There are times in life when you feel like you’ve had the best that life has to offer, and this one of those times! The breakfast burrito here is the best you might ever have and the trout scramble did not disappoint! Highly recommended making this a stop for your next brunch!
