“What a fantastic spot for modern Brazilian food. There were so many highlights - the pão de queijo was some of the best I’ve had, the branzino was beautifully seasoned with a tender & flaky texture, and the veggie noodles were an unexpected favorite with a great kick of spice and an incredibly chewy bite. The oysters, fried chicken, pork shank, and sides were all excellent as well. The atmosphere is lively, the service is super warm and welcoming, and the whole meal felt thoughtfully executed. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to.”

“Writing this review while STILL in the restaurant because we had such a great time! My boyfriend and I came for our anniversary and were immediately met with amazing service by our server Dane. He did a wonderful job and was so kind. We did the Leap of Faith dining option and it surpassed all our expectations! The service was spectacular. You 100% NEED to go to Brasero and do the Leap of Faith option!! We will be back!!”

“Brasero is arguably one of Chi Towns best no doubt! I did the Leap of Faith as a solo diner at the bar and it was just delightful. The flavors, presentations, and all around experience were fabulous. Jason was my bartender and he rocked it with the courses he selected, the room is super beautiful with nice ambiance, and they have really good deals including Happy Hour and 1/2 off Wine bottles on Wednesdays. I shall be back and highly recommend it for sure!”

We sat at the chef’s table, shared the prix fixe menu option and absolutely enjoyed watching the flawless teamwork delivering our tasty, thoughtfully made meal. It’s hard to choose any one dish we’d recommend, so here’s the short list of the crowd pleasers at our table - pork shank, potatoes, prawns, fried chicken, branzino and every single dessert - all absolutely incredible. If you’re nearby, definitely add this to your list of top meals! Oh and the Katie’s Blue Mai Tai is a great way to kick it off!”
“Had a great dinner at Brasero. My wife and I loved the place. Everything we ordered was excellent: the tuna crudo, kale salad, oysters, prawns, beef tartare, and whole fish were all seriously good. The seafood was fresh, the plates looked great, and the flavors were big without being too much. Liam was fantastic. He was friendly, paced everything perfectly, and every recommendation he gave us was spot on. We left talking about how good the whole meal was. We’ll definitely be back.”
“We did the $110 “Leap of Faith” and were thoroughly impressed. The food itself was phenomenal. Highlights were: - an heirloom tomato salad with a blue cheese dressing and croutons that had a perfect balance of fresh tomato flavor, saltiness, and crunch - Brazilian fried chicken - Picanha which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It cut like butter (which was certainly accentuated with a sharp knife and smooth plate), and melted well in the mouth - a sweet potato cooked unlike any other I’ve had. Sweet, with a caramelized (almost crème-brûlée like) crust on top. For some it may be too sweet, but it was a perfect complement to the steak for me - a coconut soft serve Sunday that was light enough for the end of the meal but had a great flavor and texture with the fudge and other toppings. For the value, it was phenomenal. The drinks were fine, but certainly not the standout of the meal. We didn’t venture into the wine list, but it was extensive and that may be where I live next time. The service was overall great. The only real area for improvement would be in the serving of the tasting menu itself. We had to ask once for our plates to be cleared and replaced after a dish that left behind saucy remnants that we didn’t necessarily want mixing with the following dishes. As newcomers to Chicago, Brasero will certainly be on a list of places we would return for a night out, special occasions, or anything in between.”
“Everything I had was absolutely delicious. I ordered the leap of faith $90 each surprise menu for two. I got hamachi crudo, hot oysters, cheesy bread with fig jam and cream, heirloom tomato salad, wagyu steak, red snapper, soft serve, and lychee guava sorbet. 10/10 the steak was perfect and melted in your mouth.”
“What an overall great experience. Dana was a fantastic server. My fiance and I both did the leap of,faith, hers was a vegetarian version. All the dishes were bright and had such unique flavors. We felt happily overwhelmed and would of paid double for the amount of food we received. The best vegetarian dinner weve experienced. And by far the best dessert I've ever had. (Passionfruit semifreddo). I just cant express how impressed we were. As a restaurant manager I find it hard to relax in a restaurant and turn of the manager in my brain. However I was so immersed in my experience that I fully relaxed and was able enjoy our rare night out. Thank you to the entire staff. Well done!!!”
