“Everything we ordered was delicious. Starting with the horchata cafe and watermelon fresca were perfect. Not too sweet and refreshing. We had 3 empanadas: beef and potato, shrimp and chicken mango habanero. All of them were tasty especially as dipped in the green sauce. I ordered the steak Pepito and it was filling! My partner order the Steak Casado and enjoyed it very much. Good service and cute atmosphere.”
“It has been over 20 years since I last ate at Irazu, but I took the first chance to pay a visit that work travel allowed. The restaurant now takes credit card, but the food is just as delicious as it was 20 years ago. Get a shake - oatmeal, guanabana, mamey, passion fruit are all excellent choices. And get the Casado - it is an authentic Costa Rican dish.”
“This is one of my favorite places in all of Chicago 🤌🏽 I enjoy the skirt steak Pepito and get that every time, but you have to try the empanadas and the plantains are perfect 👏🏽 The friendliest of staff and service. My only complaint is that their days and hours can be tricky. Update: Just met the owner, tried the Ceredas and oatmeal shake...omg. I have to have all of it everytime 😩🤤”

“This was the first time I ever had Costa Rican food and this was the best choice. Cousin Vinnie made that Tik Tok and Cousin Vinnie did that!!! Me and my bestie had a fantastic time waited on and checked on consistently, service 10/10 always. Rob was the greatest and the host at the front as well! This was the best experience and we will be back. Also them empanadas, go get you one of those it’s a chicken salad!”
“Me encanta este lugar! Acá tienen bebidas típicas de Costa Rica, muy buena comida (les recomiendo el casado, es excelente y sobre todo de Skirt Steak). Los sándwiches son grandes por el precio. La limonada con menta y el Arnold Palmer son de mis favoritas. La empanada de coco también es muy rico para el postre. Es un lugar adueñado por una familia y muy local”
