Personally, I used to love going to this location but the way coffee/treats are served here can be annoyingly inconsistent.
This place pretends to be more elevated and health-conscious, but they serve avocado toast with store-bought avocado spread that’s loaded with preservatives and seed oils.
Cute spot but the food was lackluster. This is not a caramelized onion.

Awesome atmosphere. First time here. The staff are lovely and nice and generous with their time. Tried the chocolate croissant and coffee. Yummmmmm. The dark chocolate outside and the creamy chocolate inside was incredible and plentiful…. Plenty of chocolate for those who really love as much chocolate as possible!!

Honestly we liked this place so much we went back there again before we left Chicago. Food and drinks were both delicious. Nothing else to say other than if you need a light lunch or coffee stop in.

I love bringing my girls to Goddess and the Baker when we visit Chicago. It is always a delicious breakfast or afternoon treat. This time we ordered the Tiramisu & Matcha lattes. They were good. The bagel and schmear was very good. Service was good and the food and drinks were ready quickly.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this place for early morning coffee (even on the weekend) and a bit to eat. There is a lot to choose from for breakfast and the coffee is excellent. They also work pretty fast so not too much waiting around, if you’re in a rush that’s great!

This place is amazing! I especially love coming here for the salmon plate, it is delicious every time. They are consistent, and their pastries are great too. Seating can be a little hard to find, but at least that is good thing because it means the place is good. Definitely worth trying out, and definitely coming back! Their loose leaf tea is also amazing

On our first day visiting Chicago while riding the Metra into town, someone on the train recommended Goddess and the Baker. What a great suggestion! We became “regulars” during our trip, trying a different pastry each morning with a cup of good coffee — the chocolate croissant was over the top! Atmosphere and service were great. Will definitely return on another visit to Chicago.

This was one of the highlights of our Chicago trip! We walked in here at about 11 on a Sunday and the place was almost full. I ended up ordering a lot of food - the Rainbow pastry, Pumpkin Apple Butter Latte, the Smoked Salmon Plate, the Breakfast of the Goddess and a parfait. Everything was presented beautifully as you can see in the pictures. Will definitely make it a point to be back and try more of their stuff when I'm back in the city.
