“I wanted to hate this place. I’m really not a fan of the “elevated” smash burger experience that is plaguing every city in the country. This place is too good though, I can’t hate it. They clearly put love into the food and it is well worth the trip. I was already getting angry when reading the menu prices, decided to get a classic double to make more bang for the buck. I was happy to hear that fries already came with the burger, tax was already included, and there was no tip screen. That eased my concerns quite a bit. It was a smash burger but the patties were not super thin, still some weight to it. I loved the sauce, pickles, everything, even the bun was perfect. The fries were maybe the winner out of the whole bunch, super hot and fresh, natural cut with lots of herbs and salt for seasoning, perfectly crispy. The meal filled me up completely. Overall, I was expecting to leave hungry and angry, as I often do at similar places. These people really know what they’re doing though, it’s all done right. Being full after a $15 meal made with care out of high quality ingredients is totally reasonable to me. I’ll be back often.”
