3LP (3 little pigs chi) Bridgeport — a chinese spot in Bridgeport. Nothing about this place is trying to impress you, and that's the point. No shortcuts. You can taste the intention. Johann Hayag: "Chicken was nicely seasoned and the batter was super crispy"

“The crunch on this chicken is fantastic but the meat is soft and juicy”
The spicy chicken burger is yumyum!but a lot of the chicken in the combo pineapple chicken is raw.I think maybe chicken pieces is big.
We really wanted to like this place. There is so much batter on the salt and pepper chicken, no salt and pepper taste.
Fries were cold, beef sandwich was tender but premade and cold, pork was straight up charcoal, wrap was just 3 chicken nuggets in a tortilla, crab rangoon tasted like soap.

“I got this as take-out for my birthday.”
I got this as take-out for my birthday. I ordered the Chicken/Pork Combo, and I must say that it was TRANSFORMATIONAL!!!!! The presentation was awesome, but most importantly, it was easily some of the best Chinese food I've ever tasted, which is saying a LOT in Chicago! I mean, just LOOK at these pictures! You can't tell me that it doesn't just look super appetizing!!! Well, I can honestly say that it tastes much better than it looks! Next time I wanna try their 3LP Fried Rice (wish I could have ordered it with my meal)!

“The first time I went I told my partner I was going to regret this, and I do.”
The first time I went I told my partner I was going to regret this, and I do. I've had to ask a couple of friends to go get food for me from here, and I've returned to get food for myself. I can't get enough and fried food is not good for me lol It's so good! The Chicken is actually flavored before they fry it, the batter is delicious... the fry is light fluffy crispy fresh and lovely (very much unlike traditional fried chicken and I'm so relieved) , and the pork MMMMMMM!!!

Besides Henry being such a cool , down to earth guy and the fun atmosphere of the location 3LP single-handedly changed my opinion on Chicago beef. My first experience in Chicago to beef completely turned me off and so originally I was only going to order the Chicken sandwiches with fries (which were spectacular btw) but Henry threw in the beef. I would have not known what I was missing. It was one of those moments where after you take a bite you sit and contemplate the fact that life was worth living for such a good meal. Will def return.

“Great neighborhood spot in Bridgeport, right next door to Maria's.”
Great neighborhood spot in Bridgeport, right next door to Maria's. I got the Original Hot Pot Beef and the Salt & Pepper Chicken Sandwich. Both are excellent. The Hot Pot Beef sandwich is juicy and the chicken sandwich has an excellent crunch. Highly recommend both meals. Looking forward to returning.

“The best char siu in the city.”
The best char siu in the city. Smoky and sweet and melt in your mouth. The salt and pepper chicken sandwich is easily top 5 chicken sandwich in the city and the hot pot beef is the perfect blend of Szechuan and Chicago. The orange chicken, fried rice, and Rangoon are also legit. Basically everything here is amazing and if I lived by here I would eat this every day.

“This American Chinese restaurant is the best.”
This American Chinese restaurant is the best! I tried many foods from the menu. Including spicy chicken sandwich, crab rangoon, bbq pork char siu, salt & pepper chicken and more. Every item hit the spot and was delicious. By far the best American Chinese fusion spot in Chicago ! Every bag is also personalize by hand when ordering. Wish they would be open for lunch! Would come back for more.

“My friends and I were excited to finally try 3LP and went to dine-in at the Bridgeport location.”
My friends and I were excited to finally try 3LP and went to dine-in at the Bridgeport location. We ordered salt & pepper chicken, orange chicken, the spicy chicken sandwich, and the hot pot beef. We loved the Italian beef inspired sandwich, overflowing with giardiniera and great dipped in the au jus. I enjoyed the nashville hot and chili oil smothered spicy chicken sandwich which had a nice heat and tasted a bit buttery as well. The sandwiches came with curly fries that had a nice texture. The salt & pepper chicken was crunchy with a great salty umami flavor. The orange chicken tasted classic and we appreciated that it didn't taste really syrupy but had a light sweetness from oranges. The chicken box came with vegetable noodles/lo mein which we didn't really care for, just standard noodles without much flavor so we would like to try the fried rice next time. The char siu pork was fine, personally we are not pork fans though so ymmv. I would get the chicken or other items instead! The interior is simple and straightforward, with some tables, but I would definitely recommend dining in so you don't lose any of the great texture from the food! The staff was sweet and cut our sandwiches for us when asked. Bring water because they didn't have any available.

“This place is 100% it.”
This place is 100% it. Got the combo with char siu and salt and pepper chicken with the noodles. It’s the classics elevated o the next level. Having grown up in the Bay Area and having traveled to Hong Kong over a dozen times, this place is really something special. The salt and pepper chicken was super juicy and crispy even after a 20 min bike ride home. The char siu was had the perfect sweet and tenderness. Highly recommended and I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu.

“This Bridgeport chinese “fast casual” eatery is amazing.”
This Bridgeport chinese “fast casual” eatery is amazing. I understand that Chinatown is just a “stones throw away” but on my way to 3LP, I noticed many chinese run businesses, not just food places. Nonetheless, this small corner shop has massive flavors! Their spicy hot chicken sandwich is a banger!! Super crunchy and flavorful, hot oils and jalapeno slices compliment this messy sandwich. Comes with curly fries that are prepared to order. Fries perfectly hot and salty. Their teryaki fried chicken plate is amazing. Probably the best I have ever had. The crunch on this chicken is fantastic but the meat is soft and juicy. The garlic noodles is a good accompaniment to this meal. I will need to try their many other items if they are as good as these items.

Here’s what we ordered for dinner: - Chicken & bbq pork + bbq pork fried rice combo box (was a banger, my favorite was the bbq pork) - Hot pot beef sandwich - Crab rangoons (also good, came with the same sweet and sour sauce) - Curly fries Food came out to about $40. Delicious and we had some fried rice leftover as a side later. Food was well prepared and came out quick. Loved the art!
