Adamus Lounge — american in Loop. Polished but not pretentious. The cocktail program is serious.

“This is probably one of the loop's best kept secrets”
Three times we've tried this place, left after not being acknowledged after 10 minutes.
Cocktails are watered down, weak, etc. A Few of us in our group were Charged incorrectly during Happy Hour.
The "Bag of Fried Pickles" are to die for. Like, you will die from hunger if you order them.

“Good hotel lounge.”
Good hotel lounge. Good drink menu but limited food. The flatbread pizza is good.

“Nice spot for an evening beverage and snack.”
Nice spot for an evening beverage and snack. Stylish and comfortable space. Seating is far enough apart that you may have a quiet conversation, too. Prices are reasonable for the location. Bartenders are so friendly and personable. We recently tried two of the "shareables" on the bar menu. The housemade potato chips were a generous portion, warm and crispy. The two dips nicely complemented the light spices on the chips. The apple pie was also a generous portion, topped with a large scoop of ice cream. Vegetarian items are clearly marked. NOTE: They do not accept cash in paying for your tab; credit cards only.

“Warning: the online menu has different prices, do not refer to the website look at the menu in person.”
Warning: the online menu has different prices, do not refer to the website look at the menu in person. My husband and I always love coming here. And I loooove the bartender. She is always so nice, sweet, and attentive to her patrons. The space is also fantastic. I love the couches, they are a great place to hang out with a group of friends. I love the wings!!! It's my go to spot for wings downtown. Like genuinely they are soooo good.

“Slick little bar in the lobby area of the Silversmith Hotel.”
Slick little bar in the lobby area of the Silversmith Hotel. Make a mean Manhattan and gin & tonic. Circular bar looks impressive and is well stocked. Our bartender certainly knew what she was doing. Comfortable and eclectic mix of furniture around the bar. Enjoyed a few drinks here and would stop in again.

Nice spot co-located with the Silversmith. We had breakfast, drinks, and apps here during our stay at the Silversmith, and it paired nicely.

“This is probably one of the loop's best kept secrets.”
This is probably one of the loop's best kept secrets. This posh lounge is visible from the street, but you have to enter it to truly understand how large it is. I recently came here for an afterwork happy hour and while the place is massive it was pretty empty meaning I and the group I was with had run of the place. The place is very stylish and the servers are friendly. It's sometimes hard to get the bartender's attention, but the drinks are decently priced and there is happy hour specials to take advantage of. It's a great place to just sit at the bar or bring a large group as it has a number of enclaves for groups to get together.

“This was a nice location for our small group of people to celebrate a friend's birthday.”
This was a nice location for our small group of people to celebrate a friend's birthday. Happy Hour is Monday - Friday from 5-8pm. The happy hour drink and appetizer menu items are reasonably priced ($6-$12). It has a really elegant modern style with a dimly lit atmosphere which would be good for dates. I was not pleased with the lack of service when my group initially entered, but the service became better as the night progressed.
