Awe man, I had some fun here. Chill atmosphere and great lighting (ie: café match made in heaven). While I was in they played The Internet, Mint Condition, and Thee Sacred Souls. Ubechata latte (no coffee version) was killer. Staff was very kind and answered questions I had about different drinks without judgement. Free water. Free Accessible Bathroom (no key/code). Free Wifi.

Just going to start off by saying this coffee is strong!! Such a cute coffee shop in west loop. I stopped by to grab a coffee (was recommended the condensed milk coffee) which was delicious and it definitely packs a punch in terms of caffeine! They have a cute couch that I enjoyed reading on and it had a fun community atmosphere. Overall a great experience!

Great spot for authentic Vietnamese coffee, empanadas, and bahn mi! I’ve been coming here over the past few years to get work done or catch up with a friend and it’s always a hit with friends! The cherry on top is that the staff is always friendly and the space is inviting.

“What an amazing find in the West Loop.”

What an amazing find in the West Loop! Vietfive Coffee is such a gem. The coffee here is absolutely bomb . . . the salted coffee in particular is next level, with a rich, smooth flavor that’s totally addictive. I am definitely a Vietnamese coffee man now. I wasn’t expecting much on the food side, but the empanadas blew me away. I tried the sausage one, and it came with sauerkraut, black pepper, and carrots inside, such a unique combo, but the flavor was out of this world. Totally worked. The vibe is casual, prices are cheap, and it’s the perfect spot to pop in for a quick coffee and a snack. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the West Loop and want something different from the usual coffee shop routine.

“Love Vietfive place so much.”

Love Vietfive place so much! Come out of my way to come here each time I’m in Chicago and I get their light roast (Sacred Waters - Blue Bag) shipped to my house. The classic Ca Phe is incredible and they make a great Ca Phe Trung (which is hard to find). Also they have great Banh Mi empanadas (both the pork and tofu have great herbs and flavors)

Egg coffee is 4.5/5 - not the best Vietnamese egg coffee (compared to even those in Seattle/Vietnam/South East Asia), but still a good one imo. I'd still go back if i am nearby :). I appreciate how the staff made it less sweet, although the egg foam can be thicker & coffee slightly stronger. Staff 4.5/5 - staff is friendly & service is fast. Cleanliness 5/5 Power plug available & plenty.

The workers were SUPER nice & friendly!! I got the chicken banh mi, and a vietnamese coffee (ce phe with sweet condensed milk). Both were very good! The vibes of the place were also super nice. I will definitely come back to try more drinks here!

First visit to Viet 5 Coffee this morning and it did not disappoint! Met one of the owners, Anna, who was super welcoming and kind. Tried the Ube Vietnamese Iced Coffee—smooth, rich, and uniquely delicious. Also grabbed a perked chicken empanada and a beef pastry, both made fresh and full of flavor. Great vibes, tasty bites, and even managed to squeeze in a little work while soaking it all in. Definitely coming back!
