“One of my favorite restaurants in Argyle.”
One of my favorite restaurants in Argyle! The food is always fresh and the flavors amazing. Although the place is small it’s clean and nice. Please try their coffee, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had!

“When it comes to Vietnamese cuisine, you really can't go wrong on Argyle St.”
When it comes to Vietnamese cuisine, you really can't go wrong on Argyle St. DaNang tends to have some of the higher prices, but damn if they aren't also one of the best. Named after the city located halfway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, DaNang excels at both northern and southern flavors. I'm never disappointed by their meat dishes, charred just enough to give that extra crispy burst of flavor. I love the house-made fish sauce, which is stronger and better-tasting than some of the watered-down ones nearby. Every entree has been a hit so far, though I most recommend the pork chop with sunnyside egg (CƠM TẤM SƯỜN NƯỚNG), egg coffee, banh khot, and Bun Chá. The menu is not an overwhelming book, but instead encompasses the most popular entrees and appetizers you'll find in a Vietnamese restaurant, with a variety of smoothies and iced and hot drinks. There are helpful pictures for diners unfamiliar with the menu, which I appreciate. I've never gotten around to trying the phó there, as the area is quite competitive for phó and I've tended to gravitate to the smaller hole-in-the-wall places full of elderly Vietnamese for such a classic, but I'm willing to bet it's fantastic. If it is only price that matters to you, other restaurants in the area will be just as delicious and authentic for less. But for powerful flavor, excellent dipping sauce, and the best egg coffee, go to DaNang. I wish them many years of success and prosperity.

Banh Beo Chen was just so awesome and beautifully presented. Their mam tom for bun dau was the best i've ever had. So clean, so fresh, so delicious. Just wish they had sugarcane juice all the time!

“We ordered Bánh Khọt (crispy shrimp mini cakes), bún thịt nướng (grilled pork vermicelli), and cơm...”
We ordered Bánh Khọt (crispy shrimp mini cakes), bún thịt nướng (grilled pork vermicelli), and cơm tấm sườn chả (Saigon grilled pork steak). All the dishes arrived quickly, and they were fresh and delicious. For the Bánh Khọt, it didn't come with pickles, so I requested some, and they happily provided them. Personally, I enjoy it more with pickles. We really like how fresh the ingredients were. Even though the restaurant is called Danang Restaurant, the decor does not reflect Danang at all. It would have been cuter and more meaningful if they incorporated some cultural elements into their decorations. Nonetheless, the food was fantastic!

“Incredibly yummy Vietnamese food.”
Incredibly yummy Vietnamese food. Usually I’m meh about all the viet restaurants I’ve had but this place has a unique menu. I had the banh mi chao which is kinda a rare thing that most viet restaurants don’t have. You HAVE to try the egg coffee. The owner I believe was super kind and took the time to talk to my grandpa about their immigration story, etc. This place is a bit small but deserves all the customers.

We went here as a big group and we had a very good experience!!! The food is amazing and authentic (highly recommend banh khot, banh beo, mi quang, bun bo hue, chuoi chien, etc.) and the service is great! The owner is friendly and enthusiastic. Plenty of parking space too.

“Small, cozy, nice, and friendly Vietnamese restaurant.”
Small, cozy, nice, and friendly Vietnamese restaurant. They have fresh, daily cooked desserts. I tried the Mi Quang; I personally loved it. It was served hot, freshly cooked, and delicious. It was also a big portion. It seemed authentic to me. Highly recommend if you love to try Vietnamese food.

“Super small and quant restaurant I would probably never have noticed.”
Super small and quant restaurant I would probably never have noticed. My friend wanted to come so I was honored to be her lunch date. She told me this place was specifically NOT pho and more traditional food she grew up with. This papaya salad. I have never had anything so balanced with sweet acidic salty and spicy. I dream of this freshness and deep flavor. It was so good like it had just need made, but the sauce was just so fantastic. The shrimp in all dishes were plump and big. No tiny cheap pieces here. The egg coffee was DEVINE. It sounds weird to have this egg custard in top of your coffee. But no. It is the most delicious custardy sweet but not too sweet coffee. I should have gotten one to go. Sigh. If you’ve been wondering if you should go here. Do it. For sure get the papaya salad and the egg coffee. Try the different small dishes and prepare to be dazzled by deliciousness. Don’t come here for basic noodles.

“For an Hanoian, this bún chả might not 💯 but it was approved 👌 , bánh khọt was crispy with nice sauce.”
For an Hanoian, this bún chả might not 💯 but it was approved 👌 , bánh khọt was crispy with nice sauce. Cơm tấm sườn was seasoned slightly sweet but tender and moist. Staff was very nice, totally recommend this place to my friends.
