It could use a bit more seasoning, but dipping it in the fish sauce or broth balances it perfectly

Saigon Sisters — one of West Loop's strongest thai spots. Order the Pho. The look is curated without feeling cold, and vegetarian-friendly. 。带带孙笑川: "The pork is absolutely delicious and it's got that creamy buttery taste so you can bet it's seared" [$$]

🌱Vegan & vegetarian friendly — real options, not one sad pasta.

OMG. Soooooo good. Being from Louisiana I never thought I’d find so many dishes that would be comparable. But this Place, wow, everything was absolutely delicious! And the service, Awesme!!!

Food and service were EXCELLENT! My party was absolutely in love with their banh bao, fried rice, and spicy noodles. The pork spring rolls were excellent as well! The owner is very kind and goes around talking to all the guests. I will be returning!

Heard great stuff about this restaurant and it truly delivered. The interiors are minimal with plenty of natural light, and the space felt extremely clean and well kept. Phoebe N was a fantastic server courteous, attentive, and made the experience even better. I tried the veg pho and BBQ jackfruit bao, and both dishes were absolutely amazing!

在芝加哥最好吃的越南料理!說是芝加哥最好吃的料理也不為過! 服務完美,味道也非常好。是很溫和的口味。 餐廳高朋滿座,但在平日晚上很幸運沒有排隊就吃到了!

Giovanni and I had both taken a beating that week, the kind that settles in your chest and makes even small decisions feel heavy. “Let’s go to Saigon Sisters,” he says. Sure. Why not. We Uber over to West Lake Street, step inside, and the room is alive, warm light, tight quarters, the low hum of people who understand they’re in capable hands. I book it on OpenTable without thinking much of it, and somehow we’re seated at a prime corner table overlooking the entire dining room. A small “Reserved” sign like a quiet wink from the universe. A guy greets us at the door. For a split second I’m thinking Gary Sinise. Turns out he’s the co owner. Same presence. Calm. Assured. You get the sense this place doesn’t miss. Normally I interrogate the menu. Not tonight. “Giovanni,” I say, sliding it across the table, “you order.” A cold bottle of sake arrives first, clean, crisp, exactly what two slightly frayed men need. Then the parade begins. Banh Bao Pork Belly. Soft, pillowy steamed buns giving way to unapologetic richness. The pork belly does not try to behave. It is lush, fatty, decadent. The kind of bite that makes you pause mid conversation. Then the Mama Suu Nems Imperial Rolls, gluten free. Fried rice paper shattering at first crunch, filled with pork and mushrooms, wrapped in lettuce and herbs, dragged through nuoc cham that balances salt, acid, and sweetness like a tightrope act. Fresh. Bright. Addictive. You tell yourself you will have one. You do not. And then the headliner. Chef’s Special Crispy Duck. Allow 20 minutes, the menu says. Limited quantities. A warning and a promise. It arrives lacquered and glistening, sweet and tangy sauce catching the light. Crisp skin that cracks like fine glass. Sliced and served with lettuce, cucumber, rice, the ritual of assembling your own perfect bite. Salty, sweet, cool crunch against hot, rendered fat. It is not flashy. It is just right. Somewhere between the second pour of sake and the last piece of duck, the week loosens its grip. Our server, Harley, or Holly, moves like someone who has done this dance a thousand times and still cares. Fast. Efficient. No nonsense. Phoebe glides in to refill glasses, clear plates, check in without hovering. Two pros. Warm without being forced. Beautiful without trying. The kind of service that makes a restaurant hum instead of grind. We have been out four nights straight, Giovanni and I. “Another sake,” I tell him. He gives me that look, the one that says I should not, and then nods anyway. Stress does not disappear, but it softens around the edges. I eat out a lot in Chicago. I have done the tasting menus. I have had the tweezers and the foam and the lectures about microgreens. But this felt honest. Intentional. Polished without being precious. Saigon Sisters is not just serving Vietnamese food. It is serving relief. It is serving comfort disguised as crispy duck and pork belly buns. It is giving two worn down guys a corner table and a reminder that sometimes the cure for a hard week is simple, good sake, great service, and food that knows exactly what it is. Michelin star worthy. In my book, absolutely. I will be back.

Traditional Vietnamese food with a spectacular -elevated flavor. The perfect balance of traditional flavors with an all new twist that will leave you craving more. The intimate setting is enhanced by the outstanding service. The owner himself greets patrons and will have you feeling like you are dining at most exclusive-sought-after restaurant in Chicago. Support “ma and pa” places like this! A true gem!

Lovely owner and a great atmosphere. We had an interesting chat about Asian food, and the dishes were amazing very authentic Asian flavors. Highly recommend the whole branzino, you won’t find it anywhere else.
