“Loved our breakfast in Venteux. Amazing decore with street patio. Breakfast and coffee was excellent.”

“Nestled inside the iconic Carbide & Carbon Building, Venteux Brasserie is a stunning French restaurant that combines elegant Parisian charm with modern French cuisine. From the beautiful dining room to the fresh oysters and expertly crafted cocktails, every detail made this a memorable experience. Their happy hour is definitely worth checking out: 🥂 Monday–Friday | 4:00–6:00 PM 🍸 Martini Thursdays | 4:00–9:00 PM ✨ Enjoy $6 martinis with the purchase of a food item, including Dirty, Espresso, and Lemon Drop Martinis. Whether you’re exploring the Chicago Riverwalk, looking for an after-work happy hour, or planning a date night downtown, this is the perfect place to stop for drinks, oysters, and delicious French-inspired dishes. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend adding Venteux to your Chicago dining list!”

“Visited for happy hour and an entree which was delicious. The coq au vin was rich in the wine sauce with the pomme puree. The chicken itself was extremely flavorful with nice crisp on the skin. The oysters were fresh and meaty. Our server Stephanie was attentive and very friendly so we really enjoyed our time there! She recommended the soufflé and we loved the simple and perfected flavor of the soufflé. It was light, sweet and custard creamy. Looking forward to visiting soon and highly recommend :)”

“Excellent experience here. Really good French inspired food. I especially love the quality of the baguette. My one recommendation is to serve the cauliflower dish warm instead of cold, it was very good but as the waitress did warn us, it was different.”

“My husband and I visited for his birthday and father's day! We had a wonderful time trying the lobster boil--which was a fresh choice and a bit unexpected! The flavors were great, more on the subtle side so if you're looking for a cajun boil you can expect a French take on the dish. The cocktails were also great. And you can't go wrong with French Onion soup. Not pictured, but we also had the oysters--easily my fave in the city! Specifically the West Coast (I usually prefer oysters from Massachusetts but these topped that!).”

“Five stars because I'd rather lift up then down. It was very busy this Tuesday evening, service took a while. Ratatouille was good, not the neatest looking and did not have any eggplant that I could tell.”

“This cafe has been on my list for quite some time. Overall the atmosphere is great; it’s part of the Pendry hotel which has gorgeous interior design. The outside seating gives Paris bistro vibes and the inside definitely modern deco. My only complaint about the decor is that the furniture is mostly weaves fabric and velvet but it’s not well maintained; which reduces the aesthetic appeal. I ordered the Taro Latte ( which was perfect because I’ve been wanting one for a little while now). The layering was beautiful and the latte itself was pretty good after giving it a stir. I would rate it a 7/10. Customer service was good as well. They bring your drink to the table if you are dining in. This was a great place to relax for a great read. I would definitely visit again. Side note I was able to walk in fine with no reservation but it’s not a huge cafe on the inside and will fill up quickly for breakfast. Although not required I would recommend a reservation if you plan to go during peak breakfast hours.”

“generous portion, recommended The chicken sandwich was a bit spicy though, but overall great brunch!”

“El café muy rico,a barista muy porofesional y sabe hacer bien su arte latte”

“Classic Brassiere. Great food options and surprisingly not overpriced considering the downtown location. Amazing raw bar.”

“Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had in Chicago. Ordered off the happy hour menu to create my own sampler dinner. Loved the steak tartare and oysters but surprisingly my favorite thing was the winter greens salad! Very generous portion and so lovely salty and sweet. My waitress Amber was friendly and great as well!”
