The Clove Indian and Nepali Cuisine
The Clove Indian and Nepali Cuisine — top-tier indian in Glenview. It gets busy, and that's part of the appeal. Creative without being gimmicky. Shishir Paudel: "The lachha paratha was perfectly layered and buttery, great with everything on the table"

“Hosts were very sweet. We had all vegetarian food. Gobi manchurian, momos, chilli garlic noodles. Extremely delicious and good portions. Chai was refreshing.”

“Wow! Very impressive! My second time here (a year later) since opening. The Thursday Nepalese food is exceptional! A most go.”

“My friends and I finally got a chance to dine in. The owner, Ankar greeted us with a big smile, and told us it's ladies night on Wednesday's. Who doesn't enjoy half off on drinks. Ismita did a great job waiting on us. She was kind, and sweet. We decided to try their margaritas, because they looked so yummy. I tried the Mango Margarita, and pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. Our second round of drinks, we were served with skinny Margaritas, and man were they good, and strong. For appetizers we decided on the dumplings, and palak paneer. Both were very good. The side sauce for the dumplings was amazing. For dinner, we ordered the Chicken Vindaloo which was spectacular, the chicken Madras curry which was also very good with lots of flavor. I've got to say, my fav was the Vindaloo. Tandoori Afghani kabobs were delicious, Chicken Tikka Kabobs were also a favorite. The chicken Biryani was outstanding. Don't forget to order the garlic Naan, they are a must try. The restaurant is very pretty, and clean. The owner told us they have a belly dancer Thursday nights. Can't wait to be back for some entertainment, and great food. I had to update my review because I had take out the first time. Definitely give this place a try if you love Indian food, as much as I do. Thanks for the service 🥰 My first time here, and unfortunately it was for take out. I would have loved to dine in, because the restaurant was really pretty. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice quant bar to the left. I def look forward to dining in very soon. I did order chicken tikka masala, which was accompanied by white rice. Very tasty, and spicy as I requested. Can't wait to try more 😋”

“Delicious food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. They have live music and events, check their calendar. I am happy we went and discovered them. Will be returning soon.”

“The best restaurant I have ever eaten at in the suburbs of Chicago. Phenomenal food, phenomenal service, phenomenal prices.”

“Went there on New Years Eve for a buffet dinner and live entertainment. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. The ambiance and vibe was quite nice and felt right between takeout and fine dining. While the restaurant is located on a strip, it still felt like a quality restaurant. The food was delicious and everything was well made: The service was impeccable and we had many different people come over to assist and serve us drinks and more despite the self service buffet. My brother was a bit disappointed by the lack of options in the buffet and the owner regarded his concerns and was kind enough to offer a slight discount. Unfortunately some of the options the owner had said would be available over the phone were not available which was slightly disappointing but we still had a good time. Would highly recommend this restaurant and I would return here to give it another shot.”

“5 stars I had an incredible experience at The Clove Indian & Nepali Cuisine in Glenview. This restaurant quickly became one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in the Chicago North Shore area. The food is outstanding — a perfect blend with dishes that are vibrant, beautifully presented, and full of depth and spice. Every single plate tasted intentional and crafted with care. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and genuinely family-friendly. You can feel how much pride the staff takes in what they do. The service stood out the most: thoughtful, personal, and truly above and beyond. They also offer a great weekday happy hour and some really fun holiday dining experiences that bring people together. From the moment we walked in, everything just felt right — the flavors, the hospitality, the energy. It’s more than a meal here; it’s an experience. If you haven’t tried The Clove yet, this is your sign to go. I can’t wait to go back.”

“The Clove Indian and Nepali Cuisine is honestly incredible. We came on a Friday night for a collaboration and I was blown away by how good everything was. The food is truly delicious and full of flavor. We ordered a bunch of vegetarian dishes and every single one hit. The Schezwan Eggplant was unreal and one of my top favorites. The Paneer Tikka Masala was so creamy and seasoned perfectly. Both soups were amazing especially the Hot and Sour Soup. The Veg Biryani was super flavorful and the garlic naan and lacchha paratha were so soft and fresh. The rasmalai tiramisu dessert was insane and such a perfect sweet ending. The vibes here are great. They had karaoke going on when we visited and the energy made the whole night even more fun. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and they check on you often which I really appreciate. You can tell they care about the experience and the customers. Overall this is definitely one of my new favorite Indian spots in the area and I already know I am coming back soon. If you love Indian or Indo Chinese food you need to try this place. So so good.”

“Really enjoyed my visit to The Clove Indian and Nepali restaurant! It’s a lovely place to take someone out — the vibe and atmosphere are warm and inviting. I tried the tandoori veggies and they were excellent, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. For the main course, I ordered Paneer and garlic naan, and noodles and fried rice. The Paneer could have been a bit more spicy but over all everything was delicious. Overall, a great dining experience with good food and a nice ambiance. Would definitely come back!”

“This place is highly recommended. They have dumplings called Kathmandu momo which is highly recommended (Nepali national food). They have a soup that looks like Pho soup which I also enjoyed. Samosa chat is also one of the appetizer with samosa on the tasty chutney sauce. Lamb boti and chicken tikka kebab were very tender and flavorful, marinated in spices for a long time. We also enjoyed their version of tiramisu, you should try it and be surprised. The owner and the staff were very friendly and attentive. #supportlocalbusiness”

“This place was great Went with my parents, and everyone liked it. Great vegetarian options. Would definitely go again next time I'm in town. Really loved the cauliflower Manchurian”
