Kama - West Loop — a West Loop indian find that regulars keep close. Modern space that photographs well but eats even better. Solid drinks, with the bar pulling its weight. "It was fall-off-the-bone tender, rich, perfectly seasoned" — Jose Pizano

“Best restaurant week food.”
Best restaurant week food! Obviously came here for 2026 restaurant week and would def come again to try their actual menu. No complaints of the food here. Spice and flavor were on point. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. The drinks were different and had great flavors of their own as well. ::claps hand::

“Stopped by here for their restaurant week dinner menu and everything was delicious.”
Stopped by here for their restaurant week dinner menu and everything was delicious. The restaurant week menu was a great way to try the menu and the portions were plentiful. Even on a busy Saturday night service was good and everyone was very friendly and attentive. I definitely plan to return here soon.

“I stopped by here to do a preview for their Chicago restaurant we menu and oh my goodness.”
I stopped by here to do a preview for their Chicago restaurant we menu and oh my goodness! I love Indian food, but this restaurant puts this modern and contemporary twist on it. The way that they play with the flavors and the textures gives the cuisine such an elevated experience. The lamb tacos and sweet potato chaat are a must! The ambience inside of here is also not worthy. There is giant murals that you can tell where hand painted and hand paint extremely well and the music playlist is top-notch surprisingly! This is definitely a great addition to the West loop and I would come here for food or their delicious drinks; doesn’t matter This is a spot. You should definitely check out.

“Went to test out their new menu for 2026 and it was amazing.”
Went to test out their new menu for 2026 and it was amazing. Started with Smokin’ Berries (mezcal + tequila) and it was great! Then first course started with a small appetizer (was a big plate) of Goan mussels curry. This was a must try! Then went for the second course with Lamb Chops. These were a 10/10! Last was dessert and we had a tiramisu. I was stunned by all of the flavors and will happily be back with more friends!

“I was truly impressed by the cuisine.”
I was truly impressed by the cuisine. These were hands down the best lamb chops I’ve ever had. The food is a true explosion of flavors — familiar dishes elevated with Indian-inspired spices and techniques. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great food and enjoys discovering new flavors. The cocktails are outstanding as well — a very innovative take on classic cocktails. Highly recommended!!!

“My wife and I chose Kama West Loop to celebrate our anniversary, and I can honestly say it was one...”
My wife and I chose Kama West Loop to celebrate our anniversary, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly knowledgeable—not just reading off a menu, but truly understanding the dishes, the flavors, the inspiration, and how everything comes together. Their passion for the food was obvious and contagious. Special shout-out to Jeremiah, who was absolutely fantastic—attentive, personable, and incredibly well-versed in the menu. He elevated the entire experience. Now let’s talk about the food—wow. The lamb shank deserves its own standing ovation. It was fall-off-the-bone tender, rich, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with such care that every bite felt intentional. Easily one of the best lamb dishes I’ve ever had. You could taste the craftsmanship and attention to detail in every dish that hit the table. What really set the night apart was how seamless everything felt. The pacing, the explanations, the recommendations—it all came together to make us feel like our anniversary truly mattered to the entire team. It wasn’t just dinner; it was an experience. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate something special—an anniversary, a milestone, or even just a night you want to remember—Kama West Loop is it. We left full, happy, impressed, and already talking about when we’re coming back. Thank you to the entire Kama team for making our anniversary unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back.

““What a beautiful space with exceptional service.”
“What a beautiful space with exceptional service. Verta was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly cared for from the moment we arrived. The food was outstanding — we especially loved the klucha, and both the halibut and lamb were absolutely superb. Every dish was prepared with such balance and depth of flavor. I absolutely loved my experience here, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality and ambiance. A wonderful dining experience all around — can’t wait to return.”

“Oh man, where can I start.”
Oh man, where can I start! We recently stopped by Kama to get a taste of their Indian Fusion dishes, and I can happily say it did not disappoint one bit. All the dishes that we had had a perfect balance of creativity, good flavors, and great presentation. One of our favorite dishes that we had was the mussels in tamarind coconut broth. It genuinely is to die for. The short rib dish with phyllo-wrapped biryani was another hit. The crab coconut risotto was a great addition, full of spice, sweetness, and new flavor that we really enjoyed. Our server, Warda, made our experience at Kama enjoyable. She was knowledgeable, kind, and personable. Hats off to Kama’s talented Chef Esteban. His dishes are surely going to make a mark on this great and beautiful restaurant.
