“Right off Irving Park Road, Tac Quick is unassuming—but absolutely wonderful. Everything was great from start to finish, with impeccable service and fantastic food. We started with the dumplings, which were outstanding and instantly became a new favorite. For mains, we had the Basil Fried Rice and the Basil entrée with chicken. The fried rice was delicious and savory, with a great balance of flavors and plenty of well-cooked chicken. The basil entrée was just as impressive, featuring big pieces of chicken that were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Drinks were excellent as well—the beers were solid, but the Thai Iced Tea Martini is an absolute must. All around, an incredible experience. This is officially our new neighborhood spot!”

“Yay! We found a great Thai place that is generous with the veggies AND has a bar! How cool is that? We've been there 3 times because it's our favorite Lakeview-area Thai place. Be sure to check out the Secret Menu!”

“Their menu has more variety beyond just Thai curries and rice/noodle dishes. I got the Kra Prao Moo Krob. It was super good. Also pictured is the classic Tom Yum which was also great. I can't recommend this place more highly.”

“I ordered Noodle soup - Coconuts curry. It was really delicious! I would have been happy if there was more cilantro in it.”

“This is our first visit and the food was overall good. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend the Pad Thai. The beef was good but very small portions for the price. The spring rolls were tasty but had too much cabbage. We will certainly give this another try soon.”

“Very yummy food for an affordable price. Went for lunch and tried the spicy basil fried rice and the garlic noodles along with the spring rolls. The atmosphere is cozy, service great and the place very clean. Surprisingly was almost empty for a late lunch on a weekend. Not a 5 star only coz while the food is yummy, I am not sure if this is authentic Thai. It’s an Americanized version of Thai cuisine. Alcohol is very affordable too and highly recommended if you enjoy Asian cuisine at a budget.”

“2/24/2024 Sixth (or 7th) Visit: I keeps coming back and exploring different dishes each time! So far everything I tried are delicious- so glad u found this place! First visit: Food was a bit underwhelming… curry was really bland (I had the jungle curry which was supposed to be very spicy) rice was hard, chicken was very tough, Pad See Ew was sooo sweet and portion was small. The only thing I really enjoyed was the fried calamari appetizer. The restaurant was beautiful and clean, service was okay. I will come back for the appetizer tho, and try some new dishes hopefully will taste better :)”

“Order: - Crab Rangoons - Medium Chicken Pad Thai (No Bean Sprouts) This was not one of the better Pad Thai I've had. It was somewhat dry and carried very little of the Tamarind flavor that makes Pad Thai delicious. It can be said that the lime was responsible for most of the taste. The Rangoons on the other hand were good enough, although oddly shaped. Perhaps it is the style of the restaurant to not use the traditional shape? The Atmosphere was very chill with a pleasant, open air feeling. Unfortunately, during the summer heat, the ceiling fans were not enough to keep me cool whilst they kept the windows wide open. Expect to feel quite hot if visiting in hot and humidity conditions. The service was wonderful, attentive, and efficient, I have only praise for my waitress.”
“Great vibe and food, really a hidden gem. Not only delicious Thai but a full martini bar with great drinks and reasonable prices. The staff is wonderful.”
“One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. I’m sorry I couldn’t take any photos because we ended up eating everything! We ordered the grilled squid, dumplings, and the peanut curry. 😋”
“Went to Tac Quick for the first time today and was positively impressed. The service was very good. The atmosphere was inviting and clean. The food was delicious and fresh. We had calamari and they were very fresh and delicious. The portions were generous. They had a wide variety of desserts which were scrumptious and also fresh. I had the chocolate cake and my brother had the cheesecake. Tried both and they were worth every calorie. Do recommend this cute neighborhood thai restaurant.”
