Chim Thai Cuisine — top-tier thai in Albany Park. Expect noise, energy, and a full house. Flavors that haven't been adjusted for mass appeal. "The space is nice and modern, perfect for exploring their incredible menu" — Dirk Vogel [$]

It was so good! The restaurant has plenty of space and they let me sit wherever I want. They have a full menu of so many tasty options but I went with the classic pad Thai lunch special with the gyoza. I also got a Thai iced tea! The food came out really fast! The appetizer portion to go with the lunch special is only 2 gyoza but it’s perfect so you don’t fill up before lunch! The pad Thai was so good and fresh and they put the peanuts and carrots on the side so I could mix it in how I want. Super fair prices too. And they do takeout! Give them a try!

Had an amazing time here! Staff was friendly and attentive, food came out quickly and was absolutely amazing! My friend and I both got the lunch special and the portions were big for the price! Can't wait to come back!

Legitimate thai place with traditional dishes. My favorites are chive dumpling, khor moo young, tum thai (papaya salad), kao krapad gai (ground chicken basil sana the bell pepper). All very tasty and satisfying.

Delicious! Wife can't wait to come back. Very pleased with the flavors of everything. Menu is not the usual pad thai blah blah blah. Staff VERY friendly. Great prices for big servings. Too bad it's not closer to home but that won't stop us from returning 😀

Food was great and the lunch special was a great deal. I would have taken a picture of the meal but didn’t think to before I demolished it. The pic is of the app that came with the lunch special.

This place is pristine/spotless. We came on a weekend afternoon and were one of two tables. Service was super quick and everything was great! Will be back!

Mango sticky rice was good also love the custard not too sweet. The roasted duck with white rice was the shocker for me amazing flavor will comeback for more!

Our meal was quite affordable but felt like a watered-down version of Thai food. All the flavors were there but severely lacked intensity. Every dish needed more salt, heat, and acid. The food ended up tasting vaguely sweet and bland. Moreover, the nam tok and pad kee mao had none of their signature smokiness. The beef in the namtok was sliced quite thin, tough, and chewy. Overall, I found Chim Thai barely passable but with so many better Thai spots in the city, I probably won’t be back.
