Siam Thai Eatery Chicago — honest thai in South Loop. Sleek and intentional, with the aesthetic dialed in. The recipes feel handed down, not invented. BYOB. Peachy Chan: "The flavor is beautifully balanced tangy, aromatic, and not too spicy"

“Another must have is the pad Kra pow (spicy basil, ground pork) it was probably the yummiest version I’ve had of this in the city The pineapple fried rice was also good”
First time around a few months ago was great. Our visit yesterday was really bad, however.
The only positive here is the service, which was good, so I’m giving two stars.
I’m not trying to be mean, just want to help so that Chicago Google reviews can be a valuable reference.

“I think I found my favorite Thai spot in Chicago to date.”
I think I found my favorite Thai spot in Chicago to date! Granted, the competition is a bit slim when Khao Soi’s aren’t exactly readily available. However, this was exceptionally well done on all fronts! The broth was everything you could ask for, had the crunchy noodles + soft noodles, and it was immaculately presented. All the def ice was quite good - they sat us quickly, and took care of us quite well. I will 1000% be back for more - every dish from here looked stellar!

“When walking in, the decor is captivating.”
When walking in, the decor is captivating. Love the greenery and super cute booth seats. They are currently byob. I believe they charge for cork fee. Appetizer - Siam platter This is great for sharing as you get to sample the money bag, chives cake, chicken satay skewers Entree - Tomahawk short rib massaman curry This was amazing! If you love curry, sweet coconut flavor, this is it. The meat is super tender. Served with pita, but I think this would be best served with rice - kana moo krob If you had roasted pork before, this is what is used to be stir fried with garlic and Chinese broccoli. The garlic flavor made everything super delicious. Came with a bowl of white rice and everyone that I went with went for seconds. - chicken pad see ew Typical pad see ew Drinks - iced Thai coffee - iced Thai tea Overall, highly recommend! I am definitely going to go back for the tomahawk curry, and the Siam platter!

Service was great — everyone was very kind and the food came out insanely fast. Atmosphere was very aesthetic. Food could have been a bit more flavorful, but the portions were huge and it was overall great.

“Excellent drunken noodles, especially with the ribeye.”
Excellent drunken noodles, especially with the ribeye. The green curry was fine, not super potent but still full of flavor. The coconut soup was unlike most other tom kha soups I’ve had, almost like a mix with chicken noodle. It didn’t have enough lemongrass or lime for my preference, but still overall positive. The price is cheaper than many other places I’ve ate in the city. Very good.

“This is a must visit spot for everyone.”
This is a must visit spot for everyone. Hands down the best Thai food in Chicago! The service is top-notch .Jack was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the meal. Highly recommend ordering the -Tom Yum. The flavor is beautifully balanced tangy, aromatic, and not too spicy. Though if you're sensitive to heat, it might be a bit much, but still very flavorful. -The Crispy Pork Basil (Pad Kra Pao) tasted authentically Thai, just like what you'd find in Bangkok. -The Pad Thai and the Siam Platter are absolute must-tries bold, delicious, and well-portioned. Also, it's a BYOB spot, so feel free to bring your favorite drink. We ordered 5–6 dishes, and the total was just $130 a great deal considering the generous portion sizes and quality. Highly recommended!

“5 stars all around.”
5 stars all around. Beautiful restaurant, great food, polite staff! I loved my Pad Kra Pao! I always ask for hot and get spicy but here if you ask for hot you get 🔥! My Thai wife had Kana Mhoo Krob and said it taste like Thailand, and she never says that anywhere. We will be back to try more of the menu and cannot wait until then 😀

“Siam Pad Thai Eatery was an amazing find.”
Siam Pad Thai Eatery was an amazing find! The cozy atmosphere, dim lighting, and private side booths make it perfect for a casual lunch or even a couples’ outing. The food was excellent and the service matched the experience. I highly recommend trying the fried fish salad “Garden Fish” with mango—it was outstanding—and the Pad Kara Pao, which was packed with flavor. Mango sticky rice dessert was amazing. The presentation of each dish was also top-notch. A place I’d definitely recommend and return to.

“Food SO GOOD had to come twice during my trip.”
Food SO GOOD had to come twice during my trip. Having lived in Thailand for a year, the food here captures authentic Thai flavors for sure. We ordered the Pad Kra Pao Crispy Pork Belly THRICE!! We picked spice level medium for this dish. It was pleasantly spicy and absolutely delicious 💯. We also got the seafood tom yom and tom kha coconut soup. The tom yum soup had calamari, shrimp and mussels. The coconut soup had lovely hints of lemon grass. Flavors are again delicious 😋. Got the fried calamari too, that was okayish. Amaziiiing service !!! Lovely staff 👌 👍 So happy to eat here

Yum! The food is authentic and the staff are lovely. Its a popular place so get a reservation or turn up early. We would reccomend: Money Bags - These little fried gems will change your life. Crispy and delicious filled with pork goodness and other stuff. Crab fried rice - Bag. This is illegal in some states because its so good. Roasted pork belly with broccoli - I can't pronounce it but its the third or fourth thing on the entree side. Get it. Half duck (bones) with red curry - Stop the press. Overall its fantastic and we have never had a dish we do not enjoy. Thai Thailand 🇹🇭 Pad thai Pad see you Mmmmmmmmmm

“Have been here a few times and it’s a great little date spot.”
Have been here a few times and it’s a great little date spot. The decor is so cool - I love the booths and plants all over the ceiling. Definitely try the tomahawk steak in massaman curry - we get it every time and it’s so tender and the sauce is perfect. The staff is super welcoming and service is consistently quick and friendly. The prices are a little higher than I’d like, which is the only thing stopping me from coming here more often.
