Visited The L Station for lunch today and we really enjoyed it. Our server, Malik, was incredibly sweet and attentive, and every recommendation he made was a hit. The bartender was just as amazing—yasss, keep her and Malik! The vibe was very relaxing (maybe because it was a Friday afternoon), but overall it was such a great experience. We’ll definitely be back on a weekend for brunch.

Such a nice vibe and the food is good (coming from a vegetarian). Jada and Bobbi are quite the team and made me feel so so comfortable. The subtle R & B playing in the background was also a nice touch. Can’t wait to come back!

Was visiting chi town from cali & heard about this restaurant in downtown chicago. Jerk lamb chops were super yummy, Mac & cheese was super good. Yams were good but im use to mine. Service was great! Ill definitely be back

L Station has a small, intimate feel when you first walk in, but there’s more space than expected toward the back. The staff was very friendly, and the bartender gave great drink recommendations. Our server, Malik, was exceptional. The menu can be a bit tricky with brunch vs. dinner options, but he explained everything clearly and helped us make great choices—his service alone is a reason I’ll return. Drinks are on the pricey side but worth it. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned, mac and cheese was good, and the greens were flavorful (slightly salty for me). My friend loved the lamb chops, and my chicken & strawberry waffles were delicious. Total was about $180 with tip. Worth it. I’ll definitely be back to try the catfish and grits. Parking garage nearby if street parking isn’t available.

I had no expectations coming into this place. The grits were amazing. I didn’t have to add anything to them! I love a place That’s aesthetically pleasing, and has staff to match the aesthetic Jada was our server at the bar not only is she pretty She was extremely accommodating

We had Jada service us, she was sooooo sweet! She made sure we had everything and everything was perfect for us! THE DRINKS were perfect we had the PATRON MARGARITAS (strawberry), the lamb chops were cooked perfect. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT‼️ Jada thank you sooooo much 🫶🏽🫶🏽

Went to Chicago last weekend and was in need of good soul food. This place was a 10 out of 10! Every worker there treated us like family, they were helpful, patience, and kind. The food was just as good, I ordered chicken, macaroni, greens, cornbread, and a drink. Everything exceeded my expectations and I want to travel there again just for this spot.

Ohmygoodness! This restaurant had the best food that I have had in a very long time. I ordered the mac and cheese, grits and chicken wings. Each item was delicious, perfectly seasoned without having to add anything to it and generous portions. Our server, Davi, was amazing. Explained everything, was attentive without being annoying. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Only negative was that after multiple searches, I could not determine if they took reservations or not (one site said yes, another said they take walk-ins; Open table had everything booked). Upon arrival, we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, but were seated immediately. So glad we ignored the websites.

Listen to me!!! Just come! Everything on the menu is amazing. My husband & I came here for date day. We had the turkey tips, fried chicken, Mac & cheese, yams and baked beans. When I say everything was FABULOUS you better believe it! We will definitely be back.

Ari the host and waiters all of them because I don’t remember all of their names. I walked in solo and left better than before like I had met a whole new family. Each visit was and has been beyond exceptional. I just wish I was I able to show more gratitude to them because they were deserving. I felt as I was at home enjoying good food and drinks with family
