“Really rooting for Silom 12. This place always seems to be empty and I'm not exactly sure why. Some of the best curry I've found in Chicago and super friendly service. Larb Gai salad was just okay - probably wouldn't order again. Atmosphere is perfectly fine but feels a bit awkward when you're the only patrons in the building on a Saturday night. A good option for Thai in Bucktown!”

“The food was amazing! Met a group of friends here and all ordered something different so we could try everything and nothing was disappointing. We loved all of it. Service was excellent, one server, but he handled all the tables, at the same, very well. Food came out steamy hot and tasted really fresh. The dinning room is cute, you recognize a few things from IKEA or Crate & Barrell and it reminds you that you are at a locally owned restaurant. It was nice to sit by the window and watch all the cars and people going by. With so many excellent food choices in Chicago, I was so happy I found this place!”

“Delicious Thai food with excellent service. We ordered a soup, a salad and a curry between us and it was the perfect amount. We ordered the vegetable Penang curry and loved that it wasn’t just bell peppers as happens sometimes in other places! There was a good variety of vegetables. Our server was very attentive throughout. We also loved the cocktail menu. This is a wonderful Bucktown option!”

“Great high-quality Thai spot for a last minute walk-in! The fried chicken fried rice and the crispy coconut shrimp were our favorites. I’m glad we gave this spot a second chance, as the service was much quicker at dinner than our previous lunch experience.”

“tom kha and crab rangoons werent my favorites bc i like a lot of filling and more coconut in my soup but still tasty. the softshell crab was out of this world and the panang curry too. nicely done”

“The server, Chris, was very respectful and attentive. The food was the best part. This restaurant has never disappointed me once! And I know that every time I come back, it will only get better. My family loves it! The food is exquisite, so if you are in Chicago and have not had Thai food just yet, then Silom 12 has got to be on your list! If there is anything, I wish the space was larger. Other than that, it is a must visit. Highly recommend!!”

“The food and service were solid, but nothing really stood out. I ordered a red curry with beef, but they brought me one with chicken. After I mentioned it, they quickly switched it for beef, but the portion was noticeably smaller—half the size of the chicken dish, with fewer veggies and less protein. The flavors were great, but it was disappointing that when I pointed out the portion issue, they didn’t offer any kind of solution.”

“Mediocre and incredibly overpriced food. How dare you charge $5 for this convenience store grade onigiri? I buy them for $2 at Mitsuwa.”
