Cafe Galapagos — straightforward seafood in Albany Park. The food tastes like it should, with no compromises. BYOB. Rachael Stevenson: "The fish was perfectly tender and the broth was so comforting and filling"

“My husband and I went here a few weeks ago and it was so refreshing.”
My husband and I went here a few weeks ago and it was so refreshing. No uptight atmosphere. Just a cute date night spot. It's BYOB which is always great. Our waiter was Juan and he did a fantastic job! Our waters were always full and table was clean. Very friendly place and the best part is the food! I can't wait to try more food.

“I've been here a few times now.”
I've been here a few times now. There's no wait for a table, you sit yourself anywhere. Parking on the street, I typically walk no more than a block. Service is good. They serve water in styrofoam cups which I found odd but, water tastes fresh and refreshing. Prices on food are expensive with the average being like $20 for a plate. The food is very delicious. We had empanadas, morocho, salmon and broiled chicken. The portions are massive and the food is very very good. They give complementary platano chips which are always bomb. I'd give this place 5 stars if the prices were a little lower. Highly recommend!

The food here is amazing and the portions are very generous! The complementary plantain chips are a plus too. I had the caldo de bagre and I highly recommend it! The fish was perfectly tender and the broth was so comforting and filling. A perfect place to enjoy a warm, delicious meal!
