“Super delicious ramen. Loved the spicy tonkatsu and kimchi, and great karaage!”

“We loved Rudy and his Ramen. We got seated very quickly and the food came out quick as well. I enjoyed the Spicy Tonkotsu and my wife had the veggie. She was impressed by the body of the broth. The eggs were perfect! On top of that, we got to meet the man himself. He basically walked us out when we decided to leave. Fantastic experience.”

“The tantanman ramen was great and perfect amount of spice. Brussel sprouts turned out well too”

“a great bowl of ramen, especially in relation to other nearby ramen spots :) ! i tried the spicy tonkotsu and it was delicious - def recommend !”

“Bar. And ramen. Tokyo nightlife vibe. Bamboo. Vegetarian. Extra noodles. What’s not to like.”

“Really cool interior and atmosphere! Went at 6pm on a Saturday and had minimal wait with really fast service. Staff was all super friendly. Ordered the chicken karaage which was some of the best I've ever had, with light breading, though the side sauces were unconventional (but still good). For ramen, had the spicy miso with thin noodles and the spicy tantanmen. Both were really great, but personally dont get the hype about it being #1 in Chicago - there are probably other places with a bit more flavorful broths. The spicy miso broth was quite on the sour side for a miso, with less rounded out flavor than usual. The chashu was really good, however! The tantanmen had Sichuan peppercorns in it so it had a numbing mouthfeel and just the right spice level.”

“•Sauces are special ->extra spicy sauce. ->green salsa •All workers are Hispanic, very kind •portion is small for an adult man considering the price.”

“I really enjoyed the ramen! The pork was very tender and the noodles were cooked just right so they had a bit of a bite. I will say, it was a bit more smokey than I'm used, so be ready for that! Also, I have no idea who my server was but shout out to you. You were attentive and patient. My one and only reduction in atmosphere was because the music was a bit intense, I don't know how to explain it. Maybe that's your thing?”

“Super tasty ramen!! Rudy is so nice as well. Highly recommend this spot. The karaage is some of the best I've ever had, it is a must.”

“Loved the ramen here - but I think I’d prefer the spicy tonkotsu over the spicy miso. The broth is excellent, the noodles are great. I preferred the thin noodles over the thick noodles, but I realize I could have subbed that myself. I wish there was more numbing spice actually in the spicy miso. I’ll have to come back and try the other bowls!”

“Top 3 ramen spots in the city! The broth is amazing. I had the spicy tonkotsu ramen and was surprised that is was actually spicy haha; other ramen spots in the city put “spicy” on their menu and it’s not actually spicy. The noodles were a good texture and the pork tonkotsu was a good thickness. Will definitely go back!”

“My partner stumbled upon this spot for lunch a couple weeks back and hasn’t stopped raving about the ramen since… I completely understand why now! The spicy miso ramen strikes the perfect balance between rich, deep flavor and just the right amount of heat. The Brussels sprouts and karaage chicken were the perfect accompaniments. Highly recommend trying the chicken. The owner shared that it’s marinated for 24 hours and breaded right before frying. Insane in the best way! Everyone here is incredibly friendly, and you can genuinely tell that customer experience is held in the highest regard. We will absolutely be back!”
