“I had one night in Chicago for dinner while traveling & Penelope’s came highly rated. This was Such a fun 100% vegan taqueria with some amazing food! We loved the vibe upon entering. It felt cozy, welcoming & just chill. The food was SO worth the hype. Besides the delicious food, everything came out presented SO beautifully with patterned plates & just visually laid out great. What our table dined: - Onion rings for appetizer- so crispy & flavorful with amazing dipping sauces. - Quesadilla - so much flavor. Perfectly slightly crispy tortilla stuffed with vegan meat, cheese, veggies. It was just so good. - Chimichanga - massive & punchy with perfectly spiced filling. Crispy outside & just amazing filling. The wait staff was friendly. The place was clean. Loved the decor / color themes. The food came out in nice paced timing & was super fresh & flavorful! Really glad we chose Penelope’s as our one night in Chicago vegan diner!”
“Amazing nachos and great all around great vegan food. Can’t speak to the drinks as I was the DD. Happy hour from 5-8 is priced well and the atmosphere is great for a date. As a meat eater, I still love this place every time.”

“Very colorful decor and beautiful restaurant! I ordered the chilaquiles and it was very yummy and also spicy. They have brunch on Saturday and Sunday and there was no wait on a Saturday for lunch. The service was very quick and I highly recommend this restaurant, whether you are vegan or not.”
