“Had a great Sunday lunch here at Nepal house. I chose this place for it's proximity to the Field museum and it did not disappoint. The chicken in the chicken korma was dark meat chicken and so incredibly tender. The naan came in a bigger portion than we had anticipated. The lamb samosas were also massive. The steamed chicken momos were excellent and came in 10 momos for an order. Overall really enjoyed the experience and based on the quality and quantity of food, would definitely be willing to come back!”

“Very very good food and service. Plenty of vegan options and the staff is very accommodating. I asked for less oil in every food and they did it. Veggie Momos with their chutney were amazing. Loved the place.”

“Well done. The Lamb samosas were crispy, stuffed with lamb, and oversized. They were perfect. I also had the chicken curry which was flavorful and well spiced. Service was outstanding. The ambiance is somewhat simple, but the large windows provide a delightful tableu of passerbys. Well done.”

“The food was so rich and flavorful. Wow. My mouth was in awe of all the varied flavors Nepal House brought to the table! The goat was fantastic alongside the garlic naan (definitely a must-get). The coconut chicken was creamy and savory as well. A great spot to stop into :)”

“Great spot for friends and family. The food was excellent and portioned to ensure there is no way you will leave hungry! You will leave here feeling well taken care of and well fed We had the: Masala Tea, Lamb Samosa, Paneer Naan, and Lamb Korma”

“The food was delicious!!! We were looking for a place to eat and get some rest on the cold, snowy, windy evening and this place was perfect! They were fast to get a table for us, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I loved the Indian music in the background and the beautiful pictures on the walls!”

“verrrry good indo-pak cuisine, with the mix of nepalese flavor and chicken momos (dumpling style). my whole family loved it and I highly recommend it. also, it is halal according to the restaurant servers”

“Just moved to the area and found this gem!!!! Either eat in or order when you get there. Order your food, sit at the bar and try the Taj beer while the food is being cooked. This is such an awesome neighborhood restaurant. Soak it all in! Can’t wait to come back”

“Okay so first things first, delicious food the best Nepalese food so far for me. I recommend the chicken momo and the lamb choila don’t forget to try the mango lassi, so good… it’s in downtown Chicago so parking will be a problem definitely plan accordingly if you want to dine in… but I saw a lot of people coming in for takeout…”

“Abysmal service, the have thick papers to line the table and the edges aren’t folded which meant I got a paper cut just about the second I sat down. Mentioned this to the younger woman serving us and she said ‘okay’ and just stared at me as if she was waiting for me to move on. Didn’t check in on us once, never refilled my water which I can only assume is out of intolerance for my singular comment that actually impacted me. Now the food, why the fish korma tasted more like a simple mustard tadka I couldn’t tell you, the fish was tough with the edges overcooked and the center dry. The naan was absolutely amazing, fresh and warm and very very good. The momos on the other hand, a staple for Nepalese food were passable at best them being fried and hot was the good part and then only tasting like raw coriander, turmeric and chilli powder was the downside. Honestly wouldn’t have come back to write this review if my hand wasn’t burning when I washed my hand today. The atmosphere is lovely, great location and cute decor. Hope you guys find a better spot for the waitress than front of office.”

“What a joke of a place. I ordered chilli chicken and chilli paneer masala. I received this. Two random Indian gravies nobody knows what they are. When called, the lady who spoke on phone was extremely rude. This is an absolute joke. Tell me one single place where chilli chicken and chilli paneer looks like this and tastes like traditional Indian curry.”
