“Tucked in downtown Chicago, this place is worth every step to get to! My wife and I just ate here, and the entire experience was absolutely phenomenal. The food is top-notch. We ordered the tikka masala and the butter chicken, and both were super delicious. We were really impressed by how mindful the staff was regarding the spice level we wanted—they listened perfectly and delivered exactly what we asked for. Beyond the incredible food, the cleanliness and the service were well above standards. The restaurant was spotless, and the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. If you are in the downtown area and craving authentic, delicious Indian food, do yourself a favor and check this place out. We will definitely be back!”

“Many years ago, I had a friend from Bombay who would regularly cook Indian food for our small cohort at school. Since then, I have been searching for a place that comes close to the meals she prepared. Tonight, my first meal during my first trip to Chicago, I found something incredibly special. Indian Garden Restaurant, just off of the Miracle Mile, provided a meal that took me back to those meals prepared by my friend. The food was excellent. Every bite, from the Paneer Tikka appetizer to the Murg Sagwala and Chicken Korma I enjoyed in the main course just melted in my mouth. The flavors exploded on my tongue in a delicate dance of balance and presence. The staff were incredibly welcoming and a true joy to talk with, adding to the goodness of the evening. I would gladly come back here in future visits to Chicago.”

“First time eating at the restaurant after ordering their takeout in the past, and the in-person experience is wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely, and the service is exceptionally friendly. The food is incredibly fresh - the Seekh Kebab and Achari Chicken are excellent high-protein choices (I ignored the presentation greens that looked a bit sad), and the Kulfi was the perfect sweet finish to our dinner. Highly recommend Indian Garden!”

“We visited Chicago from California and Indian Garden Restaurant was easily the best meal we had during our entire stay. The food was absolutely amazing, so authentic, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with every dish tasting fresh and full of traditional Indian flavors. We truly loved every bite. The staff was just as incredible, so welcoming, attentive, and kind, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re in Chicago and looking for authentic Indian food, this place is a must visit.”

“I went there for lunch. I took the buffet. The food was delicious with high quality ingredients and full of flavors. Dosa bar complimentary with food. The service was excellent and punctual. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing with Indian music playing in the background”

“Amazing food and great service! The shami kebab, rogan josh, and garlic naan were all packed with flavor. Truly satisfying meal — highly recommend! Ended the meal with gulab jamun.”

“Food was good. But papri chaat wasn't that great. It had a strange smell in the papri. But gulab jamun were perfect. Warm, soft inside and crisp outside. Masala chai was amazing and really complemented the cloudy windy weather outside”

“We came here with a recommendation from a friend. The lentils were delicious and so was the chicken but some pieces, as one can see in the picture, were unfortunately pink on the inside and undercooked. The naan and mango lassi were pretty standard.”

“Indian Garden has a really nice atmosphere and the service was great. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We tried a variety of dishes, including the papad with chutney, dahi bhalla, cashew nut rolls, baingan bharta, kadai paneer, chana masala, veg biryani, and kheer. My favorite was definitely the baingan bharta, it was flavorful and the standout dish for me. The kadai paneer wasn’t my favorite, but everyone has different tastes. Overall, while the food wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for, I appreciated the excellent service and welcoming atmosphere. I’d recommend giving it a try and finding your own favorites.”
“Food, service and atmosphere was excellent!! We enjoyed the buffet which included so many delicious options. The only critique I have is that there was a small piece of hair in the napkin that was at my tablenaereing. The server took care of it immediately. I was visiting Chicago. If I lived here this would be on my top 10 list! Will come again whenever I am in town.”
