Viva Zapata restaurant in Elk Grove Village had outstanding customer service and accommodation when it came to supplying some Tamales without a reservation.
Tried steak tacos , pork burrito, beef burrito. All were the best I have had in years. Even the rice was fresh.
Some of the best tacos I’ve had since living in LA . Will come back every time I’m in town . Prices are reasonable too.
My go to spot, food is always good staff very friendly highly recommended going here if you are in elk grove.

did a delivery to this place and they ordered 10 cases of soda and bags of onions in the freezing cold.

“As authentic as they come.”
As authentic as they come. The place is small and not fancy at all but the tacos were on point. The server was nice and service was super quick. They also have some Mexican ice cream, drinks and desserts but I haven’t tried them.

Somebody recommended this place to eat Mexican food, but she was mistaken. VIVA ZAPATA is the best place. The food is great, the environment is mostly familiar, and the prices reasonable. I recommend to eat one burrito, it's great. I'll be back.

“You really get a bang for your buck.”
You really get a bang for your buck! The food was delicious, I ordered three tacos but felt full after 2, we also had the Elote’s and it was great! they even had a dessert area. If you’re thinking of trying their food, you should! Too bad we live 5 hrs away, or I would be here every week 🤣

I tried the steak torta from their food truck at the Allstate Arena Flea Market. Service is mid, atmosphere is cool, the food is pretty good. The salsa verde added a little spice and good flavor to it. It just could have used a little more steak.
