I recently tried the paneer biryani from Red Tomatoes, and it was absolutely outstanding. From the first bite, it was clear that this dish was prepared with care and authenticity. The basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The paneer was soft, fresh, and generously portioned, absorbing the flavors of the masala without losing its texture. Very friendly, laid back, server/owner. The food was absolutely delicious. I had chicken tikki masala, & my friend had the butter chicken. The chicken was very tender, and our dishes were cooked to the spice level of our choosing. We went away happy & with plenty left over.

“Had family in town and we all met up here for an early dinner.”

Had family in town and we all met up here for an early dinner. Some of the family never tried Indian food before and others have, including myself. I had the buttered chicken & veggie samosas. SO GOOD! The food was so good we started sharing with each other so everyone had a chance to taste their delicious meals. My husband ended up ordering two dinners it was so good. BK was very friendly and provided a great personal experience. I can wait to go back. Update: second visit we got the below. The 101 was an explosion of amazing flavors in my mouth! Appetizer - [ ] 101 Vegetable samosas chaat Entree - [ ] 288 chicken pasanda - [ ] 276 chicken makhani (butter chicken) - [ ] 376 Aloo Gobi

Good Indian food, had the lentil soup, chicken tikka masala, and Taj Mahal lager beer. The chicken was served with white rice and I also got garlic Naan. The portions are BIG. It seemed to be too much food for I dinning alone. The food is on the spicy side, I believe I ordered medium spicy and it would have probably been a better idea to order mild. It is best if you go there with a party of family/friends. A little quiet for eating alone.

My boyfriend has never really had indian cuisine before and he's a little hesitant about new foods so I brought him to Red Tomatoes because they have a good menu with a wide variety of options. Enter Chef BK - he's quite a character and he took excellent care of my guy, talking him through the foods. I'm pretty simple - give me a good chicken saag, some biriyani, with a mango lassi to wash it down and I'm good to go but, since it was his adventure into indian food, we had a FEAST. We started with samosas - just the right size for two or three adults and very flavorful! Next we had rice and our mains: chicken saag for me of course (I didn't realize until I got home that they actually have chicken TIKKA saag, my #1 favourite, so I'll order that next time) and my boyfriend had a sample platter with a variety of meats and veg. Everything was so flavorful! It wasn't quite as spicy as I like it best but I think it was *perfect* for my boyfriend! For dessert, we had gulab jamun and mango lassi. So so so good! After all that, BK came to our table, packed our food for us, and even carried it to our car! We'll definitely be back!
