As a SoCal/San Diego native, these are probably the best tacos in Chicago. Ate in and ordered the following tacos: pastor, bistek, lengua, cabeza, and fish. All was good but I would make a note that the pastor, while flavored well, is not the type of al pastor that's cooked on a spit. The horchata was good. And we enjoyed the pickled veggies as well.

I had a wonderful experience coming here. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and giving a menu. The options here are easy to understand. The categories here make it simple to choose. You don't have to speak Spanish to place your order but it is a plus. Everyone in the eating area to the staff all the way to the cook had a positive attitude. They have bathroom here and they were clean. I would definitely recommend coming here for good Mexican food. I certainly would come back. Payment here will be in the form of cash or credit card.

“The food is always amazing.”

The food is always amazing. Some of the best tacos in the city. The burritos are packed with a lot of meat, salsas have a good kick without being overpowering. The horchata and tamarindo agua fresca should be on your order. Prices are much better than many of the other restaurants nearby too.

Always an Amazon eat at Los Comales. I get some horchata and 3 steak tacos. I ate it so fast I was tempted to order more. The waitresses and the security guard were all super kind as I had gone on the way home from downtown, late night, and solo.

We visited Los Comales twice in the span of 3-4 days if that says anything. The dining room seems to be bustling even at 11/12 at night booths/tables packed with families, couples, friends. We recommend los tacos de cecina y huarache de asada paired with an agua fresca. (especially the horchata or guava). 12/10 flavors packing a delightful, authentic Mexican punch, 10/10 friendly staff, and a cozy, family- style space all at a reasonable price. 10/10 will return this gem in Pilsen. 🇲🇽❤️🌮
