Taqueria El Grande — the Chips And Salsa leads at this top-tier Brookfield mexican spot. It wears its years well. This is cooking with real conviction. David Castillo: "The service was incredible, very attentive waitress, food came out quick and hot"

“Chips were perfectly crispy & served warm”
Food is average. Staff is rude. They will charge you extra for 2 oz of salsa though.
Ordered via UberEats and was disappointed with the quality.

“This place is great.”
This place is great! A true hole-in-the-wall spot that I’ve driven past many times in the last 4 yrs but finally stopped in. Decor is cute & the restaurant is clean. Service was prompt & friendly. Food was tasty & served hot! The horchata was very cinnamon-y, aka absolutely delightful 🤤 my wife rly liked her steak fajitas; said the meat was flavorful & tender. My chicken enchiladas verdes were yummy & the sauce had a bit of a kick! Chips were perfectly crispy & served warm. Happily would come back for another visit!

“First time dining here and I was not disappointed.”
First time dining here and I was not disappointed. The food and service was excellent. It has an old school vibe. Needs a bit of work on the inside, but everything else is great. I'd recommend it and will be returning.

“Taqueria El Grande is a hidden gem.”
Taqueria El Grande is a hidden gem! I had the Tacos de Lengua, Al Pastor, and a Torta de Milanesa de Res—all absolutely delicious. The Agua de Horchata was the perfect drink to complement the meal. The owners are incredibly pleasant, and the service was quick. It's a quaint space with a warm, welcoming vibe. Check it out if you are in the area.

“The customer service.”
The customer service. The authenticity. The price. The flavor. The music. THE COFFEE. The chips and salsa are always fresh and hot. I could go on and on but I won’t. I will say, the Mexican food in Chicago has been taking a huge decline in terms or taste n authenticity but this place makes up for it. I’m In love with this place. Thank you to everyone that works here, you all are truly special. P.S. the food is too good to remember to stop and take a picture so the pics are of my half eaten food. Haha! Yummy!

“Good little taco shop with an expanded menu.”
Good little taco shop with an expanded menu. Didn’t love the chips (kind of small and thick) but the salsas were great. First salsas I’ve found around here that have a little bit of heat without loosing the flavor. The steak burrito with avocado was excellent. Tacos and enchiladas were great too. Cheap for the area. Service was attentive. Kid friendly options like quesadillas as well even though my kid ate 15 chips with hot salsa before deciding it was “too spicy” 😂 Bring cash to avoid 4% credit card fee.

“Beautiful, clean, and well decorated place.”
Beautiful, clean, and well decorated place. Owner lady was extremely nice. I was asking about the chicken and she let me try it. Fantastic, juicy, finely diced and great taste for chicken. I took home the pastor, steak and chicken juarache. My pastor was Fantastic as well. I have chicharron gorditas but am saving for tomorrow. Nice ambiance and super clean place. Someone recommended and I am so glad. I will definitely be back. Hours everyday are 8am to 8pm. Family runned business. Love this place and will definitely return! ❤ 🤍 💙 🧡 🖤 ♥️ ❤ 🤍 💙 🧡 🖤 ♥️

“I love when I find a place that tastes like home cooked food.”
I love when I find a place that tastes like home cooked food! Loved the huevos albanil (very spicy - at least for me), rice beans, potatoes, molcajete salsa & chicken sope! Big fan of the warm salsa served with freshly fried chips! I like their thin flour tortillas too. On our next visit, hubby got the al pastor burrito - so good. I got the chicken enchiladas verdes & they use all white meat. I tried The flan is sort of light & airy - not super dense like the usual Mexican flan. Will definitely be returning to this spot! Food was delicious & atmosphere was inviting.

“Ordered skirt steak burrito, cheese and bean gordita, and torta de milanesa (UberEats).”
Ordered skirt steak burrito, cheese and bean gordita, and torta de milanesa (UberEats). The food arrived hot and was surprisingly good. I'm usually hesitant to order from Mexican food restaurants because the food usually does not meet my expectations. This food was surprisingly delicious. The portion sizes are not exaggerated but adequate. I prefer a good taste rather than a larger portion. This restaurant is relatively new, so I hope the quality of the food stays the same with time. I also had the pico de gallo and chips. Fresh and, again, surprisingly good. Chips were not salted but still good. I'm am not a big fan of the rice. I will probably skip on the rice next time. My wife's rice is better.
