Taqueria El Chorrito — mexican in Devon Avenue. Well-priced. "The chicharon tacos are tender and flavorful, and their al pastor is rich and pungent with flavor" — JJ's OutNAbout

Definitely sub par, I got the chicken soup and it was just chicken water, I also got flautas they were hard as a rock.
Title: Dangerous and Unacceptable Experience — Found a Wooden Skewer Inside My Chimichanga I ordered a chimichanga from this restaurant and was absolutely shocked to discover a large wooden skewer hidden inside the food.
Worst restaurant in the area. Will consistently get your order wrong, almost as if on purpose.

“I also love that this place is open very late and gets the most eclectic mix of people (very representative of the neighborhood)”

Was on a long walk and needed some food before heading to a friend’s. So glad I chose to stop here! The person behind the counter was super nice and friendly, and the food was SO good! I got pork tacos with cilantro and onion - my go to - and they did not disappoint. No pineapple with the pork, which I’m very thankful for as I prefer it without, and all the ingredients tasted so fresh. Love the red salsa (didn’t use the green) - good kick without it being overpowering. Inexpensive and delicious, Roger’s Park is lucky to have this place.

“This is one of the absolute best places to eat tacos in Chicago, and definitely the best tacos in Rogers Park.”
This is one of the absolute best places to eat tacos in Chicago, and definitely the best tacos in Rogers Park. I've been coming here for years - it was the first taco I had when I first visited Chicago 15 years ago and I have yet to find a place that compares. My absolute favorite is the cochinita pibil, but I also like their asada taco. I also love that this place is open very late and gets the most eclectic mix of people (very representative of the neighborhood). and their prices are very reasonable. please eat here!

Great taqueria! The service is great and the food is delicious. The prices are super fair and I love stopping in. I usually get the same thing, but their menu is extensive and I’m looking forward to trying their other items.

“Carne asada and al pastor were a little bland for my liking.”
Carne asada and al pastor were a little bland for my liking. I appreciated the variety of onions in the taco (wasn't just chopped, there were some grilled onions in there as well) and the corn tortillas which seemed fresh. Relatively quick service.

Title: Dangerous and Unacceptable Experience — Found a Wooden Skewer Inside My Chimichanga I ordered a chimichanga from this restaurant and was absolutely shocked to discover a large wooden skewer hidden inside the food. It was not visible and not part of the dish’s structure—this was a foreign object that had no business being there. When I bit into the chimichanga, the skewer injured the inside of my mouth. This was not only painful but could have caused serious harm had I bitten down any harder or swallowed. There is no excuse for something like this making it out of the kitchen. It raises serious concerns about quality control and food safety practices. I will be reporting this incident to the health department and to the delivery platform I used. No customer should ever have to experience this kind of negligence.
