Elevated Mexican food without sacrificing culture and tradition. Restaurant is gorgeous, fun, and welcoming. Only thing better than the food was the hospitality. Staff were outgoing, friendly, without being pushy. Came in for a quick drink, ended up staying for dinner, dessert, and a few more drinks. Recommended for groups, a lively date night, night with friends, or solo diners!

Momento is a next level experience. Kinzie was so knowledgeable regarding the food and drink selection. She really enhanced our visit. Big fan! A must see across the street from the Palmer House hotel.

I would say that my family found this restaurant on our trip to Chicago, but the truth is that it found us, and in a time of need at that. We had been walking all day and were exhausted, in need of tasty food to nourish not only our bodies but our souls. (Let’s just say the caravan had a couple of cranky geese.) We had tried to go to a few restaurants that we found to be closed when we arrived, only contributing to our sour attitude and sore feet. That is when we stumbled upon Momento, conveniently open at 9:30 pm on a Monday. We were seated immediately in an epic area with colorful and intricate sculptural metal scaffolding all around, unique lamps/fixtures, colorful lights, and sweet sweet reggaeton playing (puro perreo). Not only were the vibes on 10 but the tacos were incredible, and if I’m eating it of course they had those gluten free options. I couldn’t recommend this spot more.

Our bartender, Viviana, quite literally saved our Christmas. She set us up at the bar, working solo when we arrived, and took care of all the patrons swiftly and with a smile. Additionally, I was unable to have alcohol given my medication, Viviana offered so many options for nonalcoholic beverages. I had a grapefruit marg that was OUT OF THIS WORLD. If you get a chance to drop in while she is working, you will see what I mean 💫

We made reservation after catching a show downtown. This is hands down the best Mexican spot in loop. We had the horchata agua fresca and let me tell you, it is one of the best I have ever had. We were served complementary chips with refried black beans and salsas. The refriend beans were excellent for such a simple dish. The chicken sopes were chef's kiss and so were the ribeye tacos. Our server was kind and attentive. We will definitely be returning to try more items on their menu.

Great centrally located location for some great drinks and awesome food. The tortillas were so fresh and perfect. Highly recommend the fish tacos and the horchata margarita. Niko went above and beyond with service. Will be back!

The food, drinks and service were excellent. I ordered the chicken sopes and I can’t remember the name of the tacos but they had rib eye and chorizo and they were so delicious! The watermelon non alcoholic Margarita was also sooo delicious. Niko was a great server very attentive without being over bearing.

I've been here a couple times for lunch. I like how they have a quick service option or you can sit in their dining room for an extended menu. Margaritas are fantastic with a variety of flavors. Adding the cheese to the ribeye tacos is worth it. Love the beans and chips as a starter. Great service!

First time in Chicago and I didn’t realize I would find the best Mexican food. My server Niko was fantastic, friendly, and was great company since I came to the restaurant by myself. I am definitely looking forward to coming back before I leave this cool city

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Had an amazing time at Momento Cantina! The best bartender, Sebastian, makes incredible drinks — seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. The customer service was above and beyond, and the spicy tuna tostadas were delicious. Highly recommend this place — 100000% worth it!
