“I finally got the chance to check this little place out.”

I finally got the chance to check this little place out. First the bad...parking is non existan since it shares the same lot with the pizza place and 7/11 next door and the inside is small. So if you go during peak hours. Good luck waiting. The good... I got the carne asada dinner plate and 6 tacos de asada. The dinner plate was for me and it was a 5/5. Juice steak and tender. Rice and beans were also good. Salsa that was included was also good. Especially the green one. Tacos were for my wife. Her initial reaction was that they were small but generously stuffed and delicious. Over all the food was light so we didn't feel overly stuffed. We will defenitly return. Pricing I feel was acceptable considering that the food was very good. Staff was also very friendly. Overall rating 4.5/5

“Huevos con Bistec hit the spot here.”

Huevos con Bistec hit the spot here! Chips and salsa served at the table with some friendly service! Salsa was pretty good with a strong cilantro flavor. Beans and rice can be hit or miss but these were a hit. I’d prob go back just because of how good the beans were alone!

“Supper delicioso.”

Supper delicioso! This hidden little gem in Cicero surprised you as you walk in and admire authentic beautiful artwork of Mexico , such beauty this timeless mural they have and all the decor pairs so nicely feels welcoming. The waitress was welcoming at first but not attentive the whole time I had to call her over for anything and she didn’t bother asking if we needed anything on her own accord nor asked if we wanted boxes. Customer service is the face of places so I cannot give 5 stars hands down for this sadly to such a nice place. She was the same with take out orders just not motivated. Although the food saves this place with complimentary warmed chips and great salsa, the menu has a variety to choose and we ordered tacos and horchata and the tacos were on spot nicely seasoned the rice and beans paired so well with fluffy rice and delicious beans but they need more cheese on those beans ! And the horchata is nicely sweet not over bearing like other places well made and rich savory taste. I love a place with fresh lemons because garnishes are important and those salsas are top spicy and delicious but I will say they don’t have the traditional salsa squeeze bottles they give you cups which is inconvenient. They say you eat with your eyes first and this place serves clean environment and colorful food that radiates through the photos! Come here for a quick bite or even a to go plate !

Jalisco Express Restaurant offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I ordered the steak dish with shrimp, and the meat was juicy and full of flavor. The shrimp had a nice spicy kick, adding a great contrast to the dish. The tacos were decent, but nothing extraordinary. However, the fresh-squeezed orange juice was a refreshing highlight. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would rate it 7.5/10.

If you call these beans that is sad. Chilaquiles looked like someone vomited on my plate. No flavor what so ever. Dry and messy. Definitely not Mexican food to me. Poorest Mexican food I’ve had. Not even my 1 year old got to enjoy his food.
