The cali burrito with the chicken is my go-to order where I swap the cheese for the herb mayo 🔥🔥🔥 then you gotta dip the seasoned fries in the herb mayo to top it off. Shout out to Lea for hooking me up💪🏽

My friends and I are frequent visitors to GYG Evanston, for good reason(s). The food is excellent, and the portions are fair for the prices. My favorite menu items include the Burrito Bowl, Cali Burrito, and the Enchilada. GYG also has an awesome salsa station; the three offered flavors are tasty, and you can take as much as you want. The restaurant is clean, with ample seating that handles even the busiest rushes. The staff are always friendly, and one member in particular stands out to me: Chris. Chris is one of the Shift Managers, and I see him almost every time I go to GYG. He always makes sure to greet me with a smile and a fist bump, and he responds to any queries I might have attentively, respectfully, and quickly. He is friendly with the other staff members and plays a key role in cultivating the GYG environment that I love. Overall, GYG Evanston is one of my favorite places to eat, beats out the neighboring Chipotle, and I recommend that everyone give it a try! (Huge order I got below for proof of my claims)

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by everyone, though a bit startling at first, I found it welcoming. It was my first time here and I wasn’t sure what to expect or how to order and this young man Armon was super kind and helpful. He explained the different options available and gave me some recommendations. I tried the spicy chicken with the spicy mayo and it’s my favorite combo. I love that everything is fresh and made the day of. It taste very fresh, the only thing I didn’t like that much were the churros. They are vegan churros so I guess that’s why they taste interesting… Over all 9/10 on food and 10/10 on customer service and environment. I will definitely be back for the strawberry margaritas with my friends. Thank you Armon for your help and excellent customer service!!!

Ordered some tacos pretty late and I'm guessing I got lucky for a few reasons. The tacos taste brilliant, the char on the chicken is great and the pico tastes great. I like the mix of sauces that went inside them. I ate them up and I have more for breakfast. Lucky me.

These chicken nachos were absolutely incredible! I highly recommend Guzman’s. It was my first time trying this restaurant, and I’ll definitely be ordering again and coming into the store!!! I cleared the bowl as you can see🤣😅 The add-ons were amazing! I just took off the mushrooms and onions.

I go regularly to Guzman y Gomez, and usually have a good experience, but today I went and there was an item missing in my order, I called to see what were the options to solve it, and the only ones involved me coming back to the store or sending an email which could take days to be solved. I 100% understand that under the current policy there was nothing the person in the store could do differently, but the restaurant should think on better procedures to easily overcome simple errors, having at the center the client satisfaction.

I was in the neighborhood and saw this spot and thought to myself a taco would be nice thinking the restaurant would be a similar to a Taqueria. Upon entry, I was greeted with a smile and with patience as I stared at the menu. My thoughts were to leave because it appeared this was a build your own burrito type of jam similar to that other restaurant where you build your own burrito type of jam. Certain extent it was, but I went for the tacos. I came for it, and they were delicious. The hardshell taco had like a chipotle spice and the meat was seasoned so perfectly. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu. Maybe even a burrito a California burrito like that

Chris was a waiter for me at gyg, and he was a great server. All you can ask for nice,respectful, and helps when something is messed up. Food came out great and will be dining here many more times in the future. Very nice seating and beautiful view of the city of Evanston
